  • Patent number: 5348335
Abstract: A device for longitudinal adjustment of a binding for an alpine ski, in particular a front binding. The device comprises a base plate (9) on which the base (5) of the binding and a slide-rail fastened to the ski, along which the base plate (9) can slide longitudinally, are removably assembled so as to form a solid attachment. The base plate (9) incorporates a longitudinal positioning-locking mechanism and a control button (10) for the locking mechanism, accessible on a lateral edge of the base plate. The device comprises an arrangement for automatic blocking of the locking mechanism in its operative locked position, for as long as a voluntary maneuver is not performed in order to disengage the blocking arrangement. In particular, the housing (41) of the locking mechanism is flared, and the blocking arrangement comprises a finger (58) which cooperates with a groove (59).

  • Patent number: 5318321
Abstract: An interface piece for the slide-rail of a binding, in particular an alpine binding. The slide-rail comprises a stationary base (6) attached to the ski and delimiting a slide-track (7), along which a movable element (3) is mounted in a sliding configuration. At least one end of the base is open, so as to allow engagement or disengagement of the movable element on the slide-track. An interface piece (18) is inserted between the slide-rail (6) and the upper surface of the ski, and is extended on the side of the open end of the base (6) and beyond this end, where it incorporates an elastically-retractable shoulder (21) positioned in alignment with the slide-track (7), so as to constitute an elastically-movable stop which, on this side, prevents the disengagement of the movable element (3) from the base (6).

  • Patent number: 5297812
Abstract: An interface plate for the slide-rail of a binding, especially but not exclusively an alpine binding. The slide-rail (2) comprises a base (3) shaped like an "inverted.OMEGA." with two lateral wings (7, 8) which are raised in relation to the upper surface of the ski. The slide-rail further comprises a mobile base plate (4) which incorporates two laterally-positioned return-shaped members (13, 14) delimiting two symmetrical C-shaped grooves whose openings face opposite each other. The central zone (21) of the plate is bounded laterally by two parallel shoulders (23, 24), each of which incorporates, extending outward, a vertical surface (25, 26) forming a guide and friction surface, against which the lower vertical edges of the return-shaped members (13, 14) are supported and rub during longitudinal movements of the base plate (4).

  • Patent number: 5253894
Abstract: Interface plate for alpine ski safety binding. The plate has an edge (3) extending along at least one portion of the lateral edges of the base. On either side of its median zone, the plate has a lateral element (5) which carries the edge (3). The lateral elements (5) are inclined substantially downward and outward from the plate, so that, when the binding base is assembled on the ski and the plate is clamped between the base and the ski binding, the lateral elements (5) straighten into a horizontal position, thus forcing the edges (3) to flatten along the lateral edges of the base.

  • Patent number: 5209516
Abstract: Ski safety binding comprising, on its frontal surface (1b) opposite the surface on which the jaw is positioned, a control device (9) a control lever extending opposite to the jaw and beyond the body (1) of the binding, and mounted so as to pivot on the body (1) around a horizontal, transverse axis (11), an intermediate point (13) of the control lever (9) being connected to the end portion (5c) of a locking device (5) located on the second frontal surface (1b) of the body (1), in such a way that lifting the control lever (9) causes upward pivoting of locking device (5) and movement from its locked to its released position.
