  • Patent number: 11679799
Abstract: A method includes a rotation locking step during which the rotation of the threaded hub about the central axis is blocked by heating a portion of the plug to soften, then by forcing the softened thermoplastic material to penetrate into, and then solidify in, a female cavity hollowed in the wall of the orifice to constitute a male member which fits into the female cavity. The female cavity forms, against the action of the male member, a guiding end stop preventing the male member, and therefore the hub, from rotating about the central axis to oppose any rotary screwing/unscrewing of the plug and maintaining a degree of freedom in axial translation along the central axis of the male member within the female cavity, so as not to impede a sliding of the hub and of its screw thread along the central axis against the wall.

  • Publication number: 20220410295
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a rack including a toothing with variable pitch includes a roughing step, in which a blank of the rack is produced, the blank including at least one extra thickness on at least one zone of the toothing compared to a desired dimensional feature of the rack. The method also includes a finishing step, in which the at least one extra thickness of the blank is removed.

  • Publication number: 20210008652
Abstract: A method for machining a toothing with variable pitch on a rack implemented by a machine tool other than a ball nose milling cutter and includes at least five axes allowing positioning the cutting tool relative to the rack, namely a first, a second and a third axis of translation, forming a three dimension space, a first axis of rotation allowing modifying a yaw position, about a yaw axis parallel to the first axis of translation, and a second axis of rotation allowing orienting a roll position about the second axis of translation, and includes at least one cutting phase during which the cutting tool is controlled in «five continuous axes», by simultaneously modifying, during the same iteration, the spatial control component of each of the five axes, whereas the cutting tool rotates and is applied in contact with the surface of the tooth which is being trimmed.

  • Patent number: 10641378
Abstract: A play take-up device comprising a push button that is movably mounted and translationally guided, along a thrust axis 5, in a housing, to exert a thrust force against a rack, said device further comprising a resilient shock-absorbing member that is positioned between the push button and the housing, in contact, respectively, against a first bearing surface belonging to the push button, which is angled in relation to the thrust axis, and is preferably frusto-conical, and a second bearing surface belonging to the housing, referred to which has, opposite the distribution surface and counter to the resilient shock-absorbing member, both a radially extending component and an axially extending component, such that the shock-absorbing member simultaneously returns the push button axially towards the rack and transversely towards the thrust axis.
