  • Patent number: 5992191
Abstract: An anti-theft device for motor vehicles which selectively disables the vehicle by interrupting the operative connection of the steering wheel to the steering column. The device includes an outer cylindrical boss which is affixed to the steering wheel and an inner cylindrical boss which is affixed to the steering column. The outer boss is disposed about the inner boss and axially movable thereon with the steering wheel between an engaged position and a disengaged position. In the engaged position the inner boss is coupled to the outer boss by a plurality of engaged locking teeth for operation of the vehicle. In the disengaged position locking teeth on the outer boss are axially separated from locking teeth on the inner boss and the outer boss and attached steering wheel are freely rotatable about the inner boss, operatively disengaging the steering wheel from the steering column and effectively disabling the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5228652
Abstract: A rectangular frame has two pairs of opposing runners formed along the inner edges of the longitudinal sides thereof which are normally oriented horizontally. The pairs of runners are separated from each other by a space large enough to accomodate the installation of a panel member in each such pair of runners. The panel members have a slider arrangement means formed along the top and bottom edges thereof, the slider arrangement matingly engages an associated pair of the runners for slidable positioning therealong. The panel members have apertures formed therein through which radio control shafts can be fitted. Such panel members can be selectively positioned along their associated runners to accomodate shafts located in various positions. Various such panel members having different mounting structures are provided to suit a variety of different mounting installations.

  • Patent number: 4733748
Abstract: A mounting frame for a loudspeaker has a plurality of similar slots formed at each of the corners thereof. A beveled tooth is formed in one of the walls of each slot. An L-shaped bracket having longitudinal and transverse arm portions has transverse serrations formed in the outer surface of the longitudinal arm portion. One of the brackets is inserted into each slot opposite the beveled tooth thereof with the serrations ratcheting on the edge of the tooth to a selected locking position whereat the transverse arm of the bracket abuts against the speaker frame. A bendable tab extends into the slot at a portion thereof adjacent to the beveled tooth, this bendable tab operating to retain the bracket in position but when bent over enabling the sideways motion of the bracket so that it can be removed from the slot.
