  • Patent number: 7152164
Abstract: A network based anti-virus system especially for wide area networks, like the Internet. In the system when a client computer downloads files or other web content from the network, their identifications are sent to an anti-virus host computer which compares them to a database of the identifications of known virus infected files or other known virus infected web content. Security measures are taken if a sent identification has a close enough match in the database. The system includes optionally an intermediate computer, like a LAN server, an ISP's server, network node computer or the source host computer of the downloaded files or other web content; which delivers the identifications to the anti-virus host computer on the behalf of the client computer.

  • Patent number: 7130306
Abstract: A soliton transmission method where groups of partially overlapping short pulses are sent as solitons. Such pulses are laser pulses or any other electromagnetic radiation pulses having a same wavelength. The pulses in the pulse groups can be modulated both individually as well as collectively as a group. The present invention introduces also data packets based on such pulse group solitons. It is also introduced a packet switching system for packet based networks, where the packets are switched according to delivery address predictions. In said packet switching system, the node computers boost the accuracy of the packet delivery address predictions by interleaving the switched packets so that their delivery addresses follow regular patterns in the relayed packet trains. In said packet switching system, it is also introduced two different switching methods which use packet tags to denote the delivery addresses of packets.

  • Patent number: 6853674
Abstract: A method for transmitting data without carrier wave, using one-cycle electromagnetic or electric impulses. Data is encoded in the transmission by modulating the impulse wavelength and optionally also the impulse position in a transmission interval. Also two different methods for receiving such impulses. The other amplifies the received impulse in multiple reception channels with AC impulses having different modulation states, the most intense amplified impulse is then filtered to find out the correct modulation state of the received impulse. The other measures the time difference between the positive and negative amplitude maximums of the AC equivalent of the received impulse to find out its correct wavelength modulation state. Also a method for organizing wireless communication traffic that uses presented transmission method, where different impulse wavelengths are allocated for different use.
