Abstract: The invention is related to management of the use of digital data. Especially this invention is related to tracking the operation of delivery channels of various digital products by means of licensing. Data collected by tracking can be used as a part of a product delivery system and the revenue logic of the various parties related to it. The aim is achieved in such a way that the data about the first party and other necessary data about the prior lifecycle of the product copy is delivered along with the product delivered from a party to another party. In order to gain full rights to use the product, the second party activates a license request unit, which in addition to the registration data of the second party passes also the previously mentioned data to the publisher of the product.
