  • Patent number: 8561350
Abstract: A vehicle window regulator includes a fixing lug including a first part for fixing to a window guide rail having a window-guiding direction and a second part for fixing to a vehicle body. The second part defines a plane, and a normal line perpendicular to the plane that is inclined relative to the window-guiding direction. The normal line is preferably inclined at an angle of approximately 45° relative to the window-guiding direction. The lug can be fixed in the vehicle body without the lug turning on itself during fixing by screwing, for example.

  • Patent number: 8555549
Abstract: A window regulator cable tensioner includes a screw and nut assembly having an irreversible thread lead angle, a first spring to absorb reversible slack in the cable, and a second spring to actuate movement of the screw and nut assembly. The stiffness of the first spring is greater than the stiffness of the second spring. The cable tensioner absorbs the reversible slack in the cable differently from irreversible slack in the cable.

  • Patent number: 7490438
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle door, consisting of an interior sheet metal and an exterior sheeting, together which form a hollow interior space of the door, having an opening in the interior sheet metal and having a carrier module that closes said opening, and carries at least one functional part of the motor vehicle door, such as a hinge part, lock part or window lifter part. In order to simplify the assembly of a motor vehicle door it is proposed that the vehicle door (10) features, apart from the opening (18) in the interior sheet metal (12) which may be closed by means of a carrier module, an additional access opening (22) adequately large for inserting the carrier module, including the at least one functional part, into the interior space (16) of the door and that the carrier module consists of a base plate (20) which closes the opening (18) of the interior sheet metal (12) from the side of the hollow interior space (16) of the door.

  • Patent number: 7043878
Abstract: A window regulator and method for assembling a vehicle door incorporating it are provided. The method comprises inserting the screw thread of a screw with two heads into the screw thread of a plate secured to an outer panel of the door. The screw passes through an oblong hole in a lug substantially perpendicular to a slider guide of a window regulator rail. The transverse position of the rail with respect to the screw is adjusted. The screw is tightened using its upper head. The screw is loosened later using the lower screw head. The adjustment of the transverse position of the rail is then tweaked and the screw is tightened again using the lower screw head. This makes assembling and adjusting the transverse position of a window in a vehicle door easier.

  • Publication number: 20050268558
Abstract: A slider for a vehicle window regulator includes a rail passage for a guide rail that runs in a “Z” direction and which guides the slider while the window is being raised and lowered. The slider includes a securing member that passes through a hole in a window glass for securing the window glass to the slider. The position at which the securing member and window glass are locked to the slider is adjustable in the “Z” direction. The slider allows adjustment to be readily performed and ensures the vehicle window glass has a good seal with a vehicle roof when the vehicle window glass is in the fully raised position, especially in a frameless door.

  • Publication number: 20050076572
Abstract: A vehicle window glass includes a side edge, a top edge which is oblique with respect to the side edge, and an adjustment feature for the window glass which extends in a direction substantially parallel to the top edge of the window glass. The adjustment feature can be an oblong hole in the window glass or a slideway bonded to the window glass. The window glass can be finely adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, ensuring the top edge always follows the same oblique line. This reduces the number of steps involved in adjusting the window glass once installed in the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20040237410
Abstract: A vehicle window regulator includes a window glass support plate, a slide member driving the window glass support plate, a slideway for guiding the slide member, and a play take-up member for taking up play between the slide member and the slideway. The play take-up member is arranged between the window glass support plate and the slideway. The window regulator can be provided in a vehicle to improve the rigidity of a rear side window glass mounted in a cantilevered fashion and prevent the unsupported half-open window glass from swinging outwardly due to aerodynamic forces.

  • Patent number: 6807773
Abstract: A window lifter includes at least one panel, a rail for guiding a slider, and a lower attachment of the lower end of the rail to the panel able selectively to cause the rail to slide transversely with respect to the panel, and a one-piece upper attachment of the upper end of the rail to the panel able to cause the upper end of the rail to pivot with respect to the panel about a longitudinal axis. The window lifter makes it possible to reduce the number of parts in a window lifter and makes it easier to assemble.

  • Patent number: 6526696
Abstract: The invention relates to a window regulator of an automobile vehicle quarter panel, which comprises a support plate having two cam grooves substantially offset in an oblique direction, a mobile carrier supporting a windowpane guided by the cam grooves, a cable winding drum connected to the mobile carrier by an upper cable passing over an upper return pulley and by a lower cable passing over a lower return pulley. The lower return pulley is arranged in height between the height of the lower ends of the two cam grooves. This allows the total height of the support plate to be decreased.

  • Patent number: 5392563
Abstract: This device comprises arms (1, 2) arranged in X configuration, a shaped rail (11) inside which there are mounted rollers (5, 6) to which are articulated the ends of the arms (1, 2), one (6) of the rollers being provided with means for blocking in the rail while the other roller (5) can slide in the latter; the means for blocking the said roller (6) comprise an elastic clamp (13) with two branches (14) shaped so as to be able to cap the opposite ends of the roller, and through-holes for these branches are made in the walls of the rail so that the said branches pass through the rail from one side to the other, clamping the roller between them. This clamp is easy to install and can be fitted to existing rollers, which avoids the use of special components and therefore decreases the manufacturing costs of the device.

  • Patent number: 5050350
Abstract: This panel is provided on its face turned towards the inside of the door with means for the fastening and preassembly on this panel of internal elements (8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) of the door, in particular window lift (8), lock (12), slide (11) for guiding and locking the window in the lowered position, and inside opening control (13), and these elements are provided with means for fastening to a panel (2) forming a structure inside the door. This arrangement considerably simplifies the structure of the door by eliminating an internal plate supporting the elements, while at the same time enabling the trim panel (7) to be disassembled easily, and consequently servicing to be carried out on the various elements.
