  • Patent number: 9109606
Abstract: The pump includes a stator and a rotor having an impeller in which a fluid duct passes. An axial balancing device arranged on this wheel includes a rear balancing chamber and a passage arranged between the wheel and the stator, enabling evacuation of fluid from the fluid duct to the balancing chamber. The pressure of fluid in the balancing chamber compensates the pressures exerted by the fluid on the rest of the rotor allowing axial balancing of the rotor. The passage includes an upstream nozzle and a downstream nozzle, as well as an intermediate annular chamber, arranged between walls of the wheel and of the stator, the intermediate chamber being arranged downstream of the upstream nozzle and upstream of the downstream nozzle.

    Assignee: SNECMA
Inventors: Sébastien Boufflert, Nicolas Juhel, Patrice Fayolle, Stéphane Laffite
  • Patent number: 9086077
Abstract: The sealing of a turbine casing is reinforced by decoupling a fastening flange from a remainder of a housing. The casing includes a body that is externally reinforced by axial ribs that are connected to an annular rib and the fastening flange is attached to the annular rib by an annular wall portion that is thinner than the annular rib and than the flange.

  • Publication number: 20120148384
Abstract: The pump comprises a stator (112) and a rotor comprising a impeller in which a fluid duct (114) passes. An axial balancing device arranged on this wheel (111) comprises a rear balancing chamber (118) and a passage (120) arranged between the wheel (111) and the stator (112), enabling evacuation of fluid from the fluid duct (114) to the balancing chamber (118). The pressure of fluid in the balancing chamber (118) compensates the pressures exerted by the fluid on the rest of the rotor (111) allowing axial balancing of the rotor. The passage (120) comprises an upstream nozzle (140) and a downstream nozzle (160), as well as an intermediate annular chamber (150), arranged between walls (151, 152; 141, 142; 161, 162) of the wheel (111) and of the stator (112), the intermediate chamber being arranged downstream of the upstream nozzle (140) and upstream of the downstream nozzle (160).

  • Publication number: 20080080988
Abstract: Pump with electric motor, immersed in the fluid to be pumped Circuits for the auxiliary circulation of fluid in the pump for the axial balancing and the cooling of specific portions of the pump. The pump comprises a centrifugal region (28) with a fluid axial balancing system (60) and the supply circuit of this balancing system is independent of the or each fluid cooling circuit (90, 50, 48, 52, 86) of specific elements of the pump such as the motor (16) and/or a rolling bearing (38).

  • Patent number: 6532663
Abstract: The hydrostatic fluid bearing comprises a cylindrical stator having orifices for introducing a fluid under pressure, on its inside surface the stator has a split ring constituted by an assembly comprising a plane metal plate and a layer of self-lubricating composite material. The layer of composite material has cells for surrounding orifices for introducing fluid under pressure, once the assembly has been put into place inside the stator.
