  • Patent number: 7825873
Abstract: The present invention relates to an antenna comprising: at least one central longitudinal radiating element; and at least one outer element comprising at least one rolled-up electrically-conductive sheet disposed around the central element, without electrical contact therebetween, the outer element presenting a height that is strictly decreasing, or alternatively that increases and decreases along the roll.

    Assignee: Radiall
Inventors: Emilie Fond, Serge Perrot, Patrice Rigoland
  • Patent number: 7688277
Abstract: A circuit component and circuit component housing assembly for use in an antenna circuit comprise a circuit component housing in which an interior space capable of receiving a circuit component is defined and a circuit component adapted to be received in the internal space. The housing also comprises a first contact capable of contacting a first portion of the received circuit component and a second contact capable of contacting a second portion of the received circuit component. The circuit component is adapted to be connected in series between the first contact and the second contact. The housing has at least one end configured with a coaxial-type connection adapted to connect the housing and the received circuit component in a circuit that includes an antenna.

Date of Patent: March 30, 2010
    Assignee: Radiall USA, Inc.
Inventors: Claude Brocheton, Patrice Rigoland, Serge Perrot
  • Publication number: 20100035468
Abstract: In an active antenna system, two or more amplification chains are contained on one integrated circuit substrate or in one hybrid circuit. The amplification chains can be connected to at least one of a plurality of radiating elements. The integrated circuit or hybrid circuit can be incorporated into an active antenna connector, which can be electrically connected to a radiating element or a receiver system, for example. A first integrated circuit or hybrid circuit can be exchanged with a second integrated circuit or hybrid circuit in a connector to adjust properties of an active antenna system.
