  • Patent number: 11128944
Abstract: A proximity detecting headphone device is provided, with a proximity sensor, plurality of output devices, data store having predetermined heat signatures, and a control circuit communicatively coupled to the proximity sensor, output device, and data store. The control circuit is configured to: capture, via the proximity sensor, proximity data within a threshold distance of the proximity detecting headphone device; determine, using the proximity data, a presence of a person within the threshold distance; generate an audio notification when the presence of the person within the threshold distance is determined; and transmit, via the plurality of output devices, the audio notification. The proximity detecting headphone device communicates with a computing device. The proximity sensor comprises a laser rangefinder that captures time-of-flight data. The predetermined heat signatures comprise the heat signatures of vehicles and persons.

  • Publication number: 20070103559
Abstract: A user-controlled security camera system for vehicles is provided to deter and record crimes involving the vehicles. The user employs a remote control device to activate and deactivate recording equipment, for example for VHS cassettes, DVDs, or any appropriate technology, that records motion pictures of an interior or exterior area of a vehicle captured by a miniature motion-picture camera. Criminals may be deterred from crimes against the vehicle by the knowledge of the presence of the security camera system. Or their images may be captured for subsequent identification by the security camera system, for example after a stolen vehicle has been recovered. The recording system is battery powered and is locked into placed by a key-operated or dialing-code-operated lock, so that criminals cannot remove the recording equipment or cassettes or tapes. In an embodiment, a wireless transmitter on the recording equipment enables wireless transmission of the captured motion-pictures to a remote receiver.

  • Publication number: 20070029777
Abstract: A mathematics notebook having specially designed pages each having top and bottom horizontal edges, left and right vertical edges, and top and left side margins. A plurality of vertical lines are positioned on the page to guide the user in placing columns of numbers in vertical alignment to prevent error because of vertical misalignment. A number of pages may be spirally bound together along the page top edges. The vertical lines are positioned each equidistant from adjacent vertical lines, and the pages are spirally bound together along their top horizontal edges. A perforation line is provided near the upper page edge just below the binding material to permit each page to be neatly and smoothly removed from a quantity of additional pages.

  • Patent number: 6330773
Abstract: An extension panel for connection to a lower panel of the type having vertical uprights defining upper ends and including a utilities passageway extending along an upper edge of the lower panel for receiving utility conduits therein. The extension panel includes a pair of space-apart upright posts, and at least one beam extending between the posts and rigidly interconnecting the same. A pair of structural members extend downwardly from the lower ends of the posts to engage the lower panel and rigidly interconnect the extension panel and the lower panel. The structural members are laterally spaced-apart to define a downwardly-opening utilities opening therebetween. The utilities opening is positioned in alignment with the utilities passageway of the lower panel to permit utilities conduits to pass through the utilities opening when the extension is secured to the lower panel.
