  • Publication number: 20230416121
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for preventing the formation of lime scales in a water pipeline (11) comprising a main body (4) with an inlet (2) and an outlet (3), and an anti-scaling medium (5) configured to prevent the formation of lime scales, located within main body (4), between the inlet (2) and the outlet (3), comprising a galvanic cell, with at least one cathode element (7) and an anode sacrificial element (6), and a support medium (8) of the galvanic cell configured to be fixed to the main body (4); characterized in that the anode sacrificial element (6) is made of an alloy comprising zinc between 89.5-99.5% and aluminum between 0.5 and 10%.

  • Publication number: 20230392277
Abstract: A method for producing a ceramic coating on the surface of an aluminum alloy substrate by means of plasma electrolytic oxidation may include immersing the substrate as an electrode together with a counter-electrode in an alkaline electrolytic aqueous solution. The method may also include the step of applying an electrical potential sufficient to generate spark discharges on the surface of the substrate for a predefined period of treatment time so as to lead to the formation of the coating. The coating may be aluminum oxides and oxides of any alloying agents of the alloy. The electrolytic aqueous solution may have from 9 to 14 g/l of Na2SiO3, from 2.3 to 2.8 g/l of K3PO4, not less than 5 g/l of Na2WO4·2H20, from 0.4 to 1.5 g/l of Na3AlF6, and NaOH at a concentration such that the electrolytic solution has a pH between 11.8 and 12.0, and a conductivity between 9.5 and 10.5 mS/cm.

  • Publication number: 20200129669
Abstract: Provided herein are magnesium-based sponges and foams and methods for surface modification to enhance bioactivity. The magnesium-based sponges and foams may be useful as tissue or bone grafts which promote cellular adhesion and osseointegration and conduction, as well as various other biological functions including, for example, antibacterial properties, hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity and the ability to modulate immune response. The described sponges and foams have precise mechanical properties which are specifically designed for enhanced integration with surrounding tissue. The described magnesium-based materials are bioresorbable, allowing for the gradual, safe absorption of the material when exposed to bodily fluids.

  • Patent number: 7027799
Abstract: A home Message Center (MC) in a telecommunications network is capable of receiving a short message, the short message being originated by an A-subscriber and destined to a B-subscriber, and determines that prepaid charging is applicable for the short message for at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber. A PrePaid Charging Service Control Point (PPC SCP) is connected to the home MC and is responsible of prepaid accounting for the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber. The home MC sends to a PPC SCP an indication for notifying the PPC SCP that prepaid charging is applicable for the short message for the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber, and based on the indication, the PPC SCP charges a prepaid account of the at least one of the A-subscriber and the B-subscriber for the short message.
