  • Publication number: 20220329644
Abstract: The system and techniques disclose as a software platform, including computer software applications (apps) and a backend system that can be used to provide hosting and streaming of a silent party. The system allows a host to set up a silent party, specifically selecting the music that is played during the silent party and designating virtual “rooms” where different genres of music can be played simultaneously. Further, the system streams real-time content, including music, for the silent party simultaneously to different silent party attendees at various remote locations. The silent party attendees access the real-time stream, using their respective computer devices and headphones, so that the music can still be enjoyed “silently”. Accordingly, the system allows for a unique and exciting “virtual” silent party experience that can be enjoyed by users anywhere in real-time, as if they were all physically together in the same room of a conventional silent party.

  • Publication number: 20170337289
Abstract: Methods and systems for generating and resolving multi-mode barcodes include a device scanning and translating graphical data representing a barcode pattern into barcode information. The device detects distinct data items in the barcode information that each specifies an action to be taken by the device, and then transmits a request for a preference order to a remote server. Next, the device receives the preference order indicating a ranking of the distinct data items and determines, based on the ranking, an order in which actions specified by the data items are to be taken by the device. The device identifies a data item that the device is capable of taking the action specified by the data item and has a higher ranking in the preference order than the actions specified by all other data items that the device is capable of taking, and performs the action specified by the data item.

  • Patent number: 9642952
Abstract: A colostrum collection system includes a breast cup, an intermediate reservoir, a syringe attached below the intermediate reservoir, and a vacuum pump drawing vacuum from the breast cup and syringe, through the intermediate reservoir. The vacuum pump maintains vacuum throughout a vacuum pump cycle, but varies the level of the vacuum between a low vacuum and a high vacuum. During high vacuum, the colostrum is drawn from the breast and into the intermediate reservoir, and air is drawn from the syringe creating reduced air pressure in the syringe. During low vacuum, the colostrum is drawn into the syringe by the reduced air pressure in the syringe.

  • Patent number: 9248077
Abstract: A cap and rigid bottle converts an expressed milk syringe from an open system to a closed system. The cap is in fluid communication between a breast pump and breast cup. The rigid bottle is attached to the bottom of the cap and the syringe is captured inside the bottom under the cap in a sealed environment. The pump provides varying positive vacuum to the cap and through the cap to the breast cup. Milk is drawn by the vacuum into the cap and flows by gravity down into the syringe. A passage between the interior of the syringe and the interior of the bottle equalizes pressure and allows the syringe to fill while maintaining a closed system, allowing a piston in the syringe to remain stationary. The closed system protects a mother's milk being pumped into a milk collecting syringe from air born contaminants.

  • Publication number: 20150272591
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of a method for assisting breathing in a lung having damaged tissue are disclosed. The method may include inserting an implant containing a dilatant fluid into a pleural cavity of a patient to reduce an inhalation volume of the lung. Additional embodiments may include an implant configured to apply a force toward a portion of a lung. A controller may be coupled to the implant and configured to sense a biological event and control an amount of outwardly directed force applied by the implant to the lung in response to the biological event. Further, a method may include applying a force to an organ via an implant to expel material from the organ and adjusting the implant so as to transition between a first configuration and a second configuration. The implant may include at least one of an electro-active material and a pressure sensitive material.

  • Publication number: 20150026301
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting mobile devices. In one implementation, a system includes a web server. The web server receives mobile device detection strings from a DNS server in response to a DNS request and stores the mobile device detection strings on the server. The web server uses the mobile device detection strings to determine if a client device making a request to the web server is a mobile device. The web server may determine if the client device is a mobile device by comparing a user agent string in the request to the mobile device detection strings. The web server may determine whether the client device is a mobile device before sending the client device's request to any server-side scripts stored at the web server.

  • Patent number: 8137305
Abstract: A programmable electric breast pump system includes a vacuum pump pneumatically coupled to breast cups and a vacuum relief valve bypassing the vacuum pump. A controller receives command input from a vacuum level selector and a vacuum rate selector, and feedback from a pressure sensor measuring vacuum in the breast cups. In response, the controller cycles the relief valve between minimum and maximum vacuum setpoints to create a periodic vacuum pulse in the breast cups. By adjusting the vacuum min/max levels and vacuum rate, a user may change the strength of the pulse after let-down, or synchronize the frequency of the pulse with the natural refractory time of a lactating breast.
