Abstract: An endotracheal intubation assistance device for use in assisting a practitioner in performing an endotracheal intubation on a patient. The endotracheal intubation assistance device comprises a thumb member which is engaged with a practitioner's thumb thereby creating a protective barrier between the practitioner's thumb and the patient's teeth. The endotracheal intubation assistance device further comprises a blade member which extends beyond a distal side of the thumb member and serves to expose the patient's glottis in an efficient and effective manner, thereby enhancing the accuracy of a digitally performed endotracheal intubation.

Abstract: A stylet for use with an endotracheal tube includes a lighting element and a malleable rod completely enclosed and sealed within an elongated flexible sheath. The elongated flexible sheath has a proximal end and a distal end; the lighting element is positioned at or near the distal end and the malleable rod is positioned from proximate to the lighting element to the proximal end of the elongated flexible sheath. The chemiluminescent lighting element includes an activator and an oxalate and may be fully enclosed in a capsule or the flexible sheath may serve as an outer wall of the lighting element. An absorbent pad, made from cotton or non-woven fiber, is at the distal end of the elongated sheath between the lighting element and a terminal seal of the elongated flexible sheath. The stylet includes one or more tactile elements and a removable protective cap.

Abstract: A preportioning bag used in food operations where a bulk food supply is divided into portions of smaller size, individual portions are located in a bag, and the bag is stored for use at a later date. The bag includes a front wall and a back wall that are joined so that a main body having closed side and bottom edges is defined. Multiple vents in the form of semi-circular slits are formed in the front and back walls of the bag. The front and back walls are constructed of a material that will withstand freezing and heating by microwave or steam. The bag features a day of the week printed thereon and is color-coded accordingly. A set of the bags may be mounted on a saddle structure.

Abstract: A stable, homogenous and viscous softener formulation is claimed which contains less than 50% by weight of an esterquat compound of the formula wherein R1 is —C2H4OH or —C2H4OCOR2, R2 is C11-C21-alkyl or alkenyl and A is an anion, as methylsulfate, bromide, iodide and, preferably, chloride, said esterquat being prepared by esterification of methyldiethanolamine with fatty acids and subsequent quaternization, with preferably methylchloride, the fatty acids containing at least 50% by weight of saturated C18-fatty acid, comprising a final product containing at least 50 mol % of diester quat and at least 10 mol % of monoesterquat and having an acid value of less than 0.12 meq/g of esterquat active material, the rest being water and an organic solvent.

Abstract: A concentrated esterquat composition is claimed which is especially suitable for low temperature process for production of a stable, homogenous and viscous liquid softener formulation. This concentrated esterquat composition consists of from about 50 to 95% by weight of an esterquat compound of the formula wherein R1 is —C2H4OH or —C2H4OCOR2, R2 is C11-C21-alkyl or alkenyl and A is an anion, as methylsulfate, bromide, iodide and, preferably, chloride, said esterquat being prepared by esterification of methyldiethanolamine with fatty acids and subsequent quaternization with preferably methylchloride, the fatty acids containing at least 50% by weight of saturated C18-fatty acid, comprising a final product containing at least 50 mol % of diester quat and at least 10 mol % of monoesterquat and having an acid value of less than 0.120 meq/g of esterquat active material, the rest being water and an organic solvent.
