Publication number: 20120198739Abstract: A rotating panel display includes a rotating panel element, a base structure that is connected to the rotating panel element, and a control system for rotational control of the rotating panel element. The rotating panel element includes a frame having at least one display side, an internal light source, and at least one transparent display surface on the display side. The frame rotates about an axis of the rotating panel element. The control system includes a position indicator system to provide position information to control the distance of rotation of the frame. The position indicator system includes fixed structures positioned internally in the frame which do not rotate with the frame and frame structures connected to the frame which rotate with the frame. The fixed structures and frame structures periodically interacting with one another as the frame rotates to cause position information to be communicated to the control system.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2011Publication date: August 9, 2012Inventors: PATRICIA A. Patent number: 7909487Abstract: A retrofit can lighting system is disclosed. The retrofit can lighting system may be configured to be mounted in an opening in a ceiling above a plane of the ceiling, wherein an existing fixture ceiling ring is proximate the opening and also is above the plane of the ceiling. The system may include a lighting can, and a plurality of spring clips configured to couple between the lighting can and the ceiling ring. Each spring clip may include a can engaging portion configured to couple to the lighting can, a retainer clip engaging portion extending outwardly with respect to the can engaging portion, a fixture engaging portion configured to engage a portion of the ceiling ring, wherein the fixture engaging portion is angled upwardly with respect to the retainer clip engaging portion, and a hook portion configured to engage a portion of the ceiling ring, wherein the hook portion extends outwardly and downwardly with respect to the fixture engaging portion.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2010Date of Patent: March 22, 2011Assignee: Keyser-GroupInventors: Patricia Venetucci, Lawrence J Labedz, William Carter

Publication number: 20100081548Abstract: An exercise simulator and a method of encouraging exercise are disclosed. The exercise simulator has a steering component including a user-movable element and a steering sensor. The sensor outputs a sensor signal indicative of the amount of movement of the user-movable element to provide steering input to a computer. The computer has a program and data for providing a visually displayable simulated environment. The visually displayable simulated environment is navigable by user input comprising movement of the user-movable element. The visually displayable simulated environment can be part of a computer animated game.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 1, 2008Publication date: April 1, 2010Inventors: Lawrence Labedz, William Carter, Patricia Venetucci

Patent number: 6607766Abstract: A cooked food staging device and method is provided. The cooked food staging device allows previously cooked food items, particularly sandwich fillings such as hamburger patties, fish fillets, biscuits, Canadian bacon, pork sausage, eggs, chicken patties, chicken fillets and nuggets, to be stored over extended periods of time at an elevated temperature without significant deleterious effects to the appearance, taste and texture of the food while avoiding risk of bacterial contamination. The food staging device is composed of a plurality of discrete compartments bounded by upper and lower heated compartment surfaces. Food can be stored within the compartments in trays having sidewalls of a height such that a gap is achieved between the top of the tray and the upper compartment heated surface to limit and control the evaporation of liquid from the food stored therein.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2001Date of Patent: August 19, 2003Assignee: Restaurant Technology, Inc.Inventors: Henry T. Ewald, Jimmie L. Coffey, Patricia A. Venetucci, Gerald A. Sus
