Abstract: In a protective garment comprising an outer shell, wherein a reflective, fluorescent, or vision-enhancing strip is sewn to the outer shell on a generally tubular portion of the protective garment so that one end of the reflective, fluorescent, or vision-enhancing strip overlaps and is sewn to an opposite end of the reflective, fluorescent, or vision-enhancing strip, a protective strip, which covers the seam of the reflective, fluorescent, or vision-enhancing strip and which covers the end that overlaps and is sewn to the opposite end of the reflective, fluorescent, or vision-enhancing strip, is sewn to the outer shell and to the reflective, fluorescent, or vision-enhancing strip. The protective strip is made from a wear-resistant fabric.

Abstract: A pair of suspenders for heavy duty use, as by a firefighter, comprises two elongate strap structures. Each elongate strap structure comprises a single, comparatively wide strap, except for a back portion comprising a pair of comparatively narrow, possibly elastic or resiliently stretchable straps, which are parallel when laid flat and straightened. The straps of the back portion of each strap structure are interwoven with the straps of the back portion of the other strap structure.

Abstract: A drag harness comprises an elongate, flexible member, which is connected end-to-end so as to define a large loop, and a drag grip, which is provided with a pair of tunnels. Through each of the tunnels, the elongate, flexible member passes so as to divide the large loop into two arm loops having the drag grip between the arm loops. The elongate, flexible member passes loosely therethrough, whereby relative sizes of the arm loops are variable.

Abstract: For a firefighter or for an emergency rescue worker, a protective garment comprises an arm-covering or leg-covering sleeve, which comprises an outer shell, a lining system within the outer shell, a wristlet or an anklet, which is attached non-detachably to the lining system, and a cuff-forming member, which is attached non-detachably to the lining system, which extends beyond the lining system, and which is attached detachably, as via a hook-and-loop fastening device, to an outer or inner surface of the outer shell. The cuff-forming member can be thus attached at any location within a range of possible locations along the garment sleeve. The cuff-forming member, if visible at the cuff end of the outer shell, provides a visible indication that the lining system is present.
