Abstract: Disclosed examples include after a first tuning of hyperparameters in a hyperparameter space, selecting first hyperparameter values for respective ones of the hyperparameters; generating a polygonal shaped failure region in the hyperparameter space based on the first hyperparameter values; setting the first hyperparameter values to failure before a second tuning of the hyperparameters; and selecting second hyperparameter values for the respective ones of the hyperparameters in a second tuning region after the second tuning of the hyperparameters in the second tuning region, the second tuning region separate from the polygonal shaped failure region.

Abstract: Techniques described herein include performing a distributed device trust determination that includes determining trust scores for customer devices across multiple organizations. In one example, this disclosure describes a method that includes receiving data of a user device event including an organization confidence level for a user device associated with the user device event; updating common data in an entry for the user device in a device registry based on the received data of the user device event and the organization confidence level for the user device; determining a common confidence level for the user device based on the common data in the entry for the user device in the device registry; and outputting the common confidence level for the user device for use by the computing device of the first organization to determine how to handle an access request from the user device.

Abstract: Provided is a food composition which include a myceliated high-protein food product and methods to make such compositions, which are mixtures of myceliated high-protein food products and other edible materials. A food composition includes dairy alternative products, ready to mix beverages and beverage bases; extruded and extruded/puffed products; sheeted baked goods; meat analogs and extenders; baked goods and baking mixes; granola; and soups/soup bases. Food compositions also include texturized plant protein which can be used for making meat-structured plant protein meat analog or meat extender products. The food compositions have reduced undesirable flavors and reduced undesirable aromas due to use of myceliated high-protein food products as compared to use of similar high-protein material that is not myceliated.

The invention provides compositions comprising at least one tardigrade disordered protein (TDP) and at least one heterologous polypeptide and/or peptide of interest. Further provided are methods for stabilizing proteins and for producing organisms and cells having increased tolerance to desiccation and/or drought.

Abstract: A system and a method of managing a lottery service for visually-impaired users allow users to read a lottery ticket with a plurality of braille-inscribed ticket numbers. The system includes a PC device, at least one remote server, at least one physical lottery ticket, and at least one external server. The method begins by scanning the braille-inscribed ticket numbers off the physical lottery ticket with the PC device. The braille-inscribed numbers are converted into a plurality of digital ticket numbers with the PC device. The digital ticket numbers are relayed from the PC device to the remote server. A plurality of winning numbers is then received for the lottery service from the external server with the remote server. If the digital ticket numbers match the plurality of winning numbers, a lottery winning notification is generated with the remote server and is then outputted with the PC device.

Abstract: A method for imparting sustainability credence attributes for animal source food products is provided. First, at least one animal source food product is produced. The manure associated with that production is collected and treated, and the nitrogen and phosphorus content of the manure is analyzed and time stamped. At least one sustainability outcome from the treated manure is quantified, and an animal source food product, including a product package, animal package lot, individual live animal, or a plurality of live animals, is identified and labeled, and direct and indirect sustainability outcomes are linked with the animal source food product. Sustainability outcomes are demonstrated to buyers or post-processors of animal source food products, first by combining the sustainability outcome data and food animal production data with food animal producer provenance data from the same or a corresponding time interval, and then by providing access to that data.

The image capture device may capture an image of an operating environment through which a vehicle is travelling. The GPS may determine an associated position of the vehicle and an orientation of the image capture device, and associate the position of the vehicle with the image captured by the image capture device. The processor may identify a feature of the operating environment and formulate a question related to the feature. The I/O device may present the question to an occupant of the vehicle and receive a response to the question from the occupant of the vehicle. The processor may cross-reference data associated with the feature and the response and update an object recognition database based on the cross-referencing.

The method includes receiving a request for access to transaction data associated with a cardholder account, requesting a set of authentication information associated with the cardholder account, authenticating the set of authentication information upon receiving the set of authentication information, and authorizing the third-party computer system to receive transaction data associated with the cardholder account. Upon validation, the payment processor computer system generates an authorization token and provides the authorization token to the third-party computer system. The third-party computer system uses the authorization token and a secure identifier to retrieve transaction data associated with the cardholder account.

Abstract: A plenum flooring system installed over high density insulation panels, preventing heat loss to ground and intrusion of ground moisture. The system includes one or more flooring segments, each containing at least one surface opening to the plenum space, and a plenum ventilation system. The ventilation system includes a blower and air inlet openings in seals arranged along the perimeter of the plenum flooring segments at the walls of the interior of a poultry house. The blower withdraws air from the plenum space through the surface opening of the flooring segment and discharges it into the poultry house, creating a continuous flow of air to maintain uniform flooring surface temperatures and remove moisture that migrates to the plenum space from manure on the perforated flooring surface due to moisture gradient, then a refrigerated dehumidifier/air circulation unit to condense moisture in the air and discharges that liquid to the house exterior.

The module can include a substrate, a first die electrically and mechanically attached to the substrate, a second die electrically and mechanically attached to the substrate, an encapsulating material, and a lid attached to the substrate. The first die comprises a silicon-based die, such as an RF switch die, and the second die comprises a compound semiconductor die, such as an RF amplifier. The encapsulating material can protect electrical connections between the first die and the substrate. The substrate and the lid at least partially define an air cavity within which the first and the second die are mounted. An active surface of the second die is exposed to the air cavity.

Abstract: A hydraulic fracturing system utilizes a multi-phase separation apparatus to separate gas entrained in hydraulic fracturing fluids during the blending process prior to introduction of hydraulic fracturing fluid into high pressure fracturing pumps by directing hydraulic fracturing fluids from a blender through a plurality of loops and thereafter, directing a portion of the separated fluid into a vortex cluster system.
