  • Publication number: 20240089206
Abstract: A computing device includes an appliance status table to store at least one of reliability and performance data for one or more network functions virtualization (NFV) appliances and one or more legacy network appliances. The computing device includes a load controller to configure an Internet Protocol (IP) filter rule to select a packet for which processing of the packet is to be migrated from a selected one of the one or more legacy network appliances to a selected one of the one or more NFV appliances, and to update the appliance status table with received at least one of reliability and performance data for the one or more legacy network appliances and the one or more NFV appliances. The computing device includes a packet distributor to receive the packet, to select one of the one or more NFV appliances based at least in part on the appliance status table, and to send the packet to the selected NFV appliance. Other embodiments are described herein.

  • Patent number: 5872705
Abstract: A synchronous rectifier for use with a clamped-mode power converter uses in one embodiment a hybrid rectifier with a MOSFET rectifying device active in one first cyclic interval of the conduction/nonconduction sequence of the power switch and a second rectifying device embodied in one illustrative embodiment as a low voltage diode rectifying device active during an alternative interval to the first conduction/nonconduction interval. The gate drive to the MOSFET device is continuous at a constant level for substantially all of the second interval which enhances efficiency of the rectifier. The diode rectifier device may also be embodied as a MOSFET device. The subject rectifier may be used in both forward and flyback power converters.

  • Patent number: 4237171
Abstract: The specification discloses a method for packaging hot foods in a unique container having an inner layer of absorbent paperboard adhered to an outer layer of resinous foam insulating material. The inner paperboard layer has an absorbent porous surface and has sufficient thickness and rigidity to lend body to the container. The outer foam layer is sufficiently thick to insulate and prevent moisture leakage.
