  • Patent number: 11957990
Abstract: A portable water sports environment is provided. The environment includes a mat positioned on a liner. The front end of the liner may be positioned proximate to a body of water. The back end of the liner may be positioned distally to the body of water. A spray nozzle positioned along a front end of the liner may spray water from the body of water onto the mat and toward the back end of the liner. The environment may a ballast positioned on the top surface of the liner and spaced from the mat. The mat, the top surface of the liner, and the ballast may define a trench that extends away from the back end of the liner and toward the front end of the liner. The trench may guide water received from the spray nozzle toward the front end of the liner and into the body of water.

  • Publication number: 20220265993
Abstract: A pulsatile fluid pump system includes a pump-valving assembly including a chamber and a diaphragm assembly coupled to the chamber and including a flexible diaphragm. The diaphragm assembly and the pump-valving assembly are configured as an integral pump assembly. The system further includes a linear motor having a magnet and a coil, the magnet moving in relation to the coil, the coil having an electrical input. The system also includes a control housing rigidly coupled to the linear motor and a controller system having an electrical output coupled to the electrical input of the coil, the controller system defining an electrical waveform at the electrical output to cause desired operation of the diaphragm. The integral pump assembly is configured to be removably coupled to the control housing, and the diaphragm assembly of the integral pump assembly is configured to be removably coupled to the linear motor.

  • Publication number: 20220245589
Abstract: A computer software program automates government roles in monitoring contractors. The program tracks contract deliverables, schedule, funding, invoicing, and performance to simplify performance management. The program maintains all information relating to the project with notifications, workflow, collaborative platform, educational videos, and templates. It simplifies how one manages contracts from post-award to closeout. The program allows agencies to manage contracts intelligently in an organized and simplified method. The program is a comprehensive contractor management solution that includes productivity tools, process automation, tutorials and templates. It provides leadership with instant access into their portfolio of projects/contracts with the ability to drill down into individual projects/contracts. It provides an early warning system into projects/contracts at risk of delayed schedule, cost overruns, unsatisfactory quality and poor contract performance.

  • Patent number: 11300119
Abstract: A pulsatile fluid pump system for driving a fluid pump assembly includes a reciprocating linear motor having a magnet and a coil, the magnet moving in relation to the coil, the coil having an electrical input. The pulsatile fluid pump system further includes a controller system having an electrical output coupled to the electrical input of the coil, and the controller system is configured to execute a waveform program defining an electrical waveform at the electrical output. The waveform program is configured to control operation of the linear motor by modification of a feature, selected from the group consisting of amplitude, frequency, shape, and combinations thereof, of the electrical waveform at the electrical output. The waveform program is further configured to accept a set of user-specifiable parameters defining the performance of the linear motor and to modify the electrical waveform in response to such parameters.

  • Patent number: 9809332
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a three-panel lidding device used to seal a food container. Such devices are particularly useful for covering and sealing a plastic food container, eliminating (or diminishing) the need for an outer carton and the clear film membrane that traditionally covers a food container. The lidding device may contain all brand identifiers, product messaging, ingredient list, instructions (e.g., opening and cooking) printed directly on the device. The device may also allow for venting of the food container during cooking and may then be removed for serving. The device may further provide a foot panel that allows the food product container/lidding device to sit upright, enhancing store front and freezer display options.

  • Publication number: 20120011006
Abstract: A system and method for providing surveys includes a server that allows client devices to access surveys over the Internet. The survey may overlap some content, such as a television show, and a user is given a mechanism for providing real-time attitude about the content by expressing either positive or negative reactions. The user's opinion data is aggregated with other users' opinion data and provided as a graph along a timeline in real-time.

  • Patent number: 7216870
Abstract: A resource point game mechanic includes a plurality of game components, at least some of which have a resource point value. Each game component is in a state such as an “in play” state or an “out of play” state. Resource points according to the resource point value are accumulatable by a player transitioning one of the game components from the “out of play” state to the “in play” state. Preferably, the resource points are spendable on benefits/chances/penalties. An alternative preferred embodiment of the present invention is a method for using a game mechanic in which each player obtains a plurality of game components having a resource point value, then each player, in turn, transitions at least one of the game components from an “out of play” state to an “in play” state, and then each player accumulates resource points according to the resource point value by the step of transitioning.

  • Patent number: 5544971
Abstract: A method is shown for recycling asphalt pavement. A high solids lime slurry is prepared by either slaking quicklime or by slurrying dry, hydrated lime. The high solids lime slurry is mixed with crushed aggregate which has been collected by scraping the top surface of an old roadway. The treated aggregate is deposited onto the old roadway and compacted to form a new roadway.

  • Patent number: 5512093
Abstract: A method is shown for improving the properties of hot mix asphalt by treating the aggregate which is combined with bituminous binder with lime. A hot quicklime slurry is produced by slaking quicklime with water at the site of the hot mix asphalt plant using a portable mixing tank. The hot quicklime slurry is then applied to the aggregate, the aggregate is dried and combined with the binder to produce the hot mix asphalt.
