  • Patent number: 9204226
Abstract: A method for adjusting a hearing device (1) to individual needs of a hearing device user includes the steps of operationally connecting the hearing device (1) to a fitting device (5) with a display unit (6), displaying a hearing threshold level (22) of the hearing device user as a function of frequencies on the display unit (6), displaying characteristics of a predefined sound sample (25, 30) on the display unit (6), and adjusting the input/output behavior such that at least a part of the predefined sound sample (25, 30) lies above the hearing threshold level (22) at corresponding frequencies. An arrangement for adjusting a hearing device (1) is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8582793
Abstract: A method for determining feedback thresholds in a plurality of frequency bands and/or at a plurality of frequencies processed by a hearing device is disclosed. The feedback thresholds are defined as gains, at which feedback occurs while a hearing device user is wearing the hearing device. The method comprises the step of determining feedback thresholds in an order of precedence, wherein the order of precedence being defined according to a degree of importance that the feedback threshold is determined in a particular frequency band or at a particular frequency, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20130170661
Abstract: A method for adjusting a hearing device (1) to individual needs of a hearing device user is disclosed. The hearing device (1) comprises an input transducer (2), a signal processing unit (3) and an output transducer (4), the signal processing unit (3) being operatively connected to the input transducer (2) as well as to the output transducer (4), and the signal processing unit (3) defining an input/output behavior of the hearing device (1). The method comprising the steps of operationally connecting the hearing device (1) to a fitting device (5) comprising a display unit (6), displaying a hearing threshold level (22) of the hearing device user as a function of frequencies on the display unit (6), displaying characteristics of a predefined sound sample (25, 30) on the display unit (6), and adjusting the input/output behavior such that at least a part of the predefined sound sample (25, 30) lies above the hearing threshold level (22) at corresponding frequencies.

  • Patent number: 8077891
Abstract: A method for wirelessly adjusting one or more hearing devices (1, . . . , 3) with a central unit (4) is presented, the method comprising the steps of: establishing a wireless network (6) wirelessly connecting the central unit (4) to hearing devices (1, . . . , 3), which are responsive to said wireless network (6), detecting said hearing devices (1, . . . , 3), identifying one or more of the detected hearing devices (1, . . . , 3, selecting one or more of the identified hearing devices (1, . . . , 3), establishing a wireless link from the central unit (4) to at least one of the identified hearing devices (1, . . . , 3), and adjusting the at least one identified hearing device (1, . . . , 3). Therewith, an audiologist is able to unambiguously assign one or two hearing devices (1, . . . , 3) in a fitting session, even if multiple hearing devices are within the range of the wireless network (6) or wireless transmitter, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20110026746
Abstract: A method for determining feedback thresholds in a plurality of frequency bands and/or at a plurality of frequencies processed by a hearing device is disclosed. The feedback thresholds are defined as gains, at which feedback occurs while a hearing device user is wearing the hearing device. The method comprises the steps of determining a quality index for a measured feedback threshold, and considering a measured feedback threshold as final if the quality index meets minimum predefined requirements.
