  • Patent number: 11655914
Abstract: A method of reducing the pressure of a liquid includes the steps of providing a conduit containing a packing material, such that a large number of small passages are formed in the packing material, and passing the liquid through the conduit and the packing material. The amount of packing material through which the liquid flows can be varied to vary the pressure drop experienced by the liquid passing through the packing material. The reduction in pressure achieved may be stepwise (discrete) or continuous. The method may be used to reduce the pressure of an aqueous polymer solution for use in a polymer flood technique for oil extraction, and allows the pressure to be reduced without damage to the polymer.

  • Publication number: 20230077278
Abstract: Some aspects of the disclosed technology can create a virtual object based on user container selections. Further aspects of the disclosed technology can provide one or more product recommendations corresponding to a current context of user activity. Additional aspects of the disclosed technology can generate and export non-fungible tokens using object recognition. Yet further aspects of the disclosed technology can augment a digital environment with NFT content corresponding to an NFT wallet.

  • Patent number: 11300021
Abstract: An exhaust system component includes a pipe having a pipe wall with an inner surface defining an exhaust gas passage and with an outer surface and a louver bridge portion formed in the pipe wall. The louver bridge portion has bridge ends transitioning from adjacent pipe wall portions to a bridge raised portion with raised side edges detached from adjacent opening side edges of the pipe wall. Each bridge side edge is radially outward of the adjacent opening side edge of the pipe wall to define a louver opening at each of two opposite sides of the louver bridge portion. Fluid communication through the two louvered openings, between the exhaust gas passage and an exterior of the component, attenuates resonant frequencies generated during operation of an exhaust system to which the exhaust system component is connected.

  • Patent number: 6056807
Abstract: The present invention presents a fluid separation device capable of separating oxygen from an oxygen-containing gaseous mixture which utilizes at least one solid-state membrane comprising a dense mixed conducting multicomponent metallic oxide layer formed from a mixed conducting multicomponent metallic oxide represented by the formulaLn.sub.x A'.sub.x A".sub.x B.sub.y B'.sub.y O.sub.3-z,wherein Ln is an element selected from the f block lanthanides, A' is selected from Group 2, A" is selected from Groups 1, 2 and 3 and the f block lanthanides, and B,B' are independently selected from the d block transition metals, excluding titanium and chromium, wherein 0.ltoreq.x<1, 0<x'.ltoreq.1, 0.ltoreq.x"<1, 0<y<1.1, 0.ltoreq.y'<1.1,x+x'+x"=1.0, 1.1>y+y'>1.0 and z is a number which renders the compound charge neutral.

  • Patent number: 5712220
Abstract: The present invention presents a new class of multicomponent metallic oxides which are particularly suited toward use in fabricating components used in solid-state oxygen separation devices. The compositions of the present invention are represented by the formula Ln.sub.x A'.sub.x' A".sub.x" B.sub.y B'.sub.y' B".sub.y" O.sub.3-z, wherein Ln is an element selected from the f block lanthanides, A' is selected from Group 2, A" is selected from Groups 1, 2 and 3 and the f block lanthanides, and B,B',B" are independently selected from the d block transition metals, excluding titanium and chromium, wherein 0.ltoreq.x<1, 0<x'<1, 0.ltoreq.x"<1, 0<y<1.1, 0<y'<1.1, 0<y"<1.1, x+x'+x"=1.0, 1.1>y+y'+y">1.0 and z is a number which renders the compound charge neutral wherein such elements are represented according to the Periodic Table of the Elements adopted by IUPAC.
