  • Publication number: 20230334709
Abstract: The invention provides a method of lossless compression of a file of lidar point cloud data which have the steps of providing a file of lidar data, representing a predetermined number of frames of raw lidar data, with a set of objects identified and classified within the lidar data. Each identififed object in the lidar point cloud data is assigned an objectId to allow tracking of each identified object’s position in each frame of the point cloud data. For each frame of lidar point cloud data, sequencing the position of each identified object in that frame based on each objects order of appearance in a bounded grid applied to each frame, reading from right to left, top to bottom, with each identified objects position described as their integer offset from the previous identified object in the bounded grid, so that each identified objects offset value is stored in the compressed file as a variable width integer datatype.

  • Publication number: 20190362275
Abstract: A facility includes a location node having a transceiver of wireless signals. It communicates with a central hub and mobile devices in the facility. The nodes are located in a specific location in the facility, and provide data about the movement of the entities in the facility relative to the location. Includes at least one of entry into the location, departure from the location, amount of time spent in the vicinity of the location; and the data being transmitted to the operator in at least one of real time or being for storage and analysis at a later time for use by the operator. There can be a series of location nodes in the facility. The nodes provide data about the movement of the entities in the facility, such data including the travel path of the entities in the facility.

Location data defining the detected position of the communication device at a number of different points in time, determines the user's path passing through a zone defined by the associated location data and the associated data.

  • Publication number: 20070168863
Abstract: An avatar that represents an user in a communications session is animated, without user manipulation, based on the animation of another avatar that represents another user in the same instant messaging communication session. The avatars may be displayed in a single instant messaging window, and the displayed animations may create an appearance that the avatars are interacting with one another. An avatar animation may be based on the content communicated by a user and a category that is associated with a user.

  • Publication number: 20070113181
Abstract: An avatar may be used to convey information independent of information conveyed directly in a text message sent during an instant messaging communications session between two users. The information may be communicated using a change in the avatar appearance (including animating the avatar) as a communication conduit. For example, information identifying an event or a subject visually represented by an avatar may be accessed. Information may be received that is related to the event or the subject visually represented by the avatar, and an appearance of the avatar may be configured in response to the received information.
