  • Publication number: 20170372251
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for simulating sensors that in particular measure a distance between the sensor and an object, that measure geometrical dimensions of the object, that measure positions of the object, that measure material, contrast, color, luminescence, brightness or transparency of the object, that measure polarization of the light reflected by the object or that measure a magnetic field strength.

  • Patent number: 9835725
Abstract: A light sensing device having background suppression includes: a light transmitter, a light receiver, an evaluation unit for determining the spacing between the light sensing device and an object in a detection zone of the light sensing device, and a setting element for setting a sensing depth within which an object should be detected. A critical spacing region is defined between a set sensing depth and a background in dependence on the set sensing depth. A signal output outputs a signal if an object is detected within the set sensing depth and a display unit displays whether an object is present within the sensing depth. The set sensing depth can be displayed in relation to a maximum sensing depth of the light sensing device in a first display region and a second display region indicates if an object is located in the critical spacing region.

  • Patent number: 8624704
Abstract: A safety apparatus has a configurable safety controller (10) and a configuration means, wherein the safety controller (10) has at least one input (18) for the connection of a sensor (20a-c), at least one output (22) for the connection of an actuator (24a-b), and a control unit (14) configured to carry out a control program which generates a control signal at the outputs (22) in a dependence on input signals at the inputs (18) by means of logic rules. The logic rules are settable by means of the configuration means. A number code representing the logic rules can be generated in the configuration means, and the safety controller (10) includes an interface (30) for the input of the number code. The control unit (14) is configured to carry out a control program with the logic rules represented by the number code.

  • Publication number: 20110215896
Abstract: A safety apparatus having a configurable safety controller (10) and a configuration means is provided, wherein the safety controller (10) has at least one input (18) for the connection of a sensor (20), at least one output (22) for the connection of an actuator (24), as well as a control unit (14) which is configured to carry out a control program which generates a control signal at the outputs (22) in dependence on input signals at the inputs (18) by means of logic rules, wherein the logic rules are settable by means of the configuration means. In this respect a number code representing the logic rules can be generated in the configuration means and the safety controller (10) includes an interface (30) for the input of the number code and the control unit (14) is configured to carry out a control program with the logic rules represented by the number code.

  • Publication number: 20090002135
Abstract: The invention relates to a control system, in particular to a safety control system, comprising at least one sensor, at least one control module for the reading out of the at least one sensor and for the generation of a control signal, wherein the at least one control module has at least one connection for a cable which can be connected to the control module. The control system in accordance with the invention furthermore has a data memory module which is mechanically connected to the cable to be connected to the connection and a data memory unit for the storage of configuration data of the control. A communications path is provided for the transfer of configuration data between the at east one control module and the at least one data memory module, wherein the cable is not provided, or is not only provided, for the data transfer between the data memory unit of the at least one data memory module and the at least one control module.
