    Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods for establishing latency-critical services. When a mobile station attempts to transmit a packet on a contention-based multiple-access radio channel without a prior reservation of channel resources, the mobile station notifies the base station of its attempt to randomly access the channel. The notification is performed on dedicated channel resources. Upon receipt of the notification of a mobile station's access attempt, the base station can know that a mobile station is the origin of the colliding packets, and can therefore correctly manage the retransmission of packets not received.

    Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods for decoding data packets for establishing latency-critical services. Each mobile station transmits multiple copies of a same data packet over a contention-based multiple access uplink channel without prior reservation of resources. Then, for a given mobile station, copies of a data packet are transmitted over identified resources of the channel, in a sequence known to the base station. Thus, for each mobile station, the base station knows which channel resources to look at in order to perform its decoding in a facilitated manner.

Alternatively, the plant treatment system may use a plant detection model to identify plant pixels within an image that represent plants. The GNSS receiver receives a signal including a pseudorandom noise (PRN) code modulated by code shift keying (CSK) to represent a symbol (i.e., CSK modulated symbol). The GNSS receiver maintains a plurality of receiver codes each representing a different shift in chips to the PRN code. The GNSS receiver performs a linear combination of portions of the receiver codes. In an embodiment, the GNSS receiver compares correlation power level value for respective portions of the receiver codes to demodulate the CSK data. In a further embodiment, the GNSS receiver compares the correlation power level values for portions of receiver codes with power detection threshold values to demodulate the CSK data. In a further embodiment, the GNSS receiver utilizes signs of the correlation power level values to demodulate the CSK data.

    Abstract: Sulfate and sulfonate derivatives of unsaturated fatty alcohols, processes for making them, and methods of using them are disclosed. In one aspect, a monounsaturated fatty alcohol composition is made by reducing a metathesis-derived monounsaturated alkyl ester. The fatty alcohol composition is then converted to a sulfate or sulfonate derivative by one or more of alkoxylation, sulfation, sulfonation, and sulfitation. Of particular interest are the sulfate and ether sulfate derivatives. Microscopy studies indicate that the unsaturated sodium sulfates in particular have a lamellar phase that should enable formulation at high actives levels. Sulfate compositions comprising 40 to 60 wt. % of a monounsaturated fatty primary alcohol sulfate and 40 to 60 wt. % of a secondary hydroxyalkyl primary alcohol sulfate are also disclosed.
