  • Patent number: 11379504
Abstract: A system and method are provided for indexing and mining content of multiple data sources. The method includes: providing a database of learned content of multiple data sources learned using text analysis, the learned content identifying one or more concepts to which a data source relates, wherein the concepts are cognitively associated with the data source and include concepts not explicitly referenced in the data source and providing an index of the learned content including associations between concepts with mappings between concepts and the multiple data sources. The method further includes receiving input of a query and using text analysis to analyze the query to determine one or more query concepts to which it relates and mining the indexed concepts in response to the query concepts to return a list of referenced data sources.

  • Patent number: 11301350
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for automated testing of systems and applications. A computing device can receive a command to execute a test, the test comprising at least one fault instruction and an alarm, the alarm being specified as an evaluation criterion for the test. The computing device can then send the fault instruction to a fault injection service. Next, the computing device can receive a message from a monitoring service, the message indicating that the alarm has been triggered subsequent to sending the fault instruction to the fault injection service. Subsequently, the computing device can determine that the test has failed based at least in part on the alarm being triggered. Finally, the computing device can send a failure notification to a predefined recipient in response to detecting that the alarm has been triggered.

  • Publication number: 20160141152
Abstract: A method and system of modifying a substrate using a plasma are described comprising providing a first electrode and a second electrode; arranging the substrate such that a portion of the substrate is between the electrodes; supplying a voltage to at least one of the electrodes so as to create a plasma discharge between the electrodes which contacts at least said portion of the substrate, moving either the substrate and/or said second electrode such that said substrate and said second electrode are being linearly displaced relative to each other along an axis of linear displacement during said movement; and wherein said second electrode is arranged relative to said axis of linear displacement such that said linear movement causes a first section of the portion of substrate to have a greater residence time between the electrodes during said linear displacement than a second section of said portion of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 9330115
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and program product for automatically reviewing a mapping between information models. The method includes: receiving a mapping between an element in the first information model to an element in the second information model. Each element is associated with an element identifier and an element value, and the mapping signifies a relationship between the element in the first information model and the element in the second information model. The method further includes comparing the received mapping against one or more known indications of suspicious mappings to determine if the received mapping resembles one of the indications of suspicious mappings. If the received mapping is determined to be suspicious, identifying the received mapping as one that requires review.

  • Patent number: 9095834
Abstract: A method of modifying a substrate using a plasma comprises providing a first electrode and a second electrode; arranging the substrate such that only a portion of the substrate is between the electrodes; and rotating either the substrate or at least one of the electrodes about an axis so as to cause different portions of the substrate to pass between the electrodes during the rotation. A voltage is supplied to at least one of the electrodes so as to create a plasma discharge between the electrodes which contacts at least the portions of the substrate that pass between the electrodes. The electrodes and the substrate are arranged such that the rotating causes the speed of transit of the substrate portion between the electrodes to vary in a radial direction away from the axis of rotation and the rate that the plasma discharge modifies the substrate varies across the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20150161918
Abstract: A label that changes appearance with time is disclosed. The label comprises a first layer that has different permeabilities to a gas in different lateral areas of the label and which comprises a substance that changes colour when in contact with the gas. The substance is arranged within the label such that the gas permeates across the thickness of the layer at different rates in different lateral areas so as to cause the substance to change colour at different rates in said different areas. Another label that changes appearance with time is disclosed that allows ink to permeate to its surface at different rates in different lateral areas.
