  • Publication number: 20080149425
Abstract: A tire lift is provided for use in operably lifting and lowering tires. An upstanding member extends from a base to define a substantially vertical hoist axis. An extension arm having a proximal portion and an opposed distal portion defines a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The proximal portion is movably engaged to the upstanding member while the distal portion is specifically configured to operably receive a tire in an orientation such that a central axis of the tire is substantially divergent from the longitudinal axis of the extension arm. A positioning device allows the extension arm to be selectively positioned along the hoist axis.

  • Patent number: 6530584
Abstract: A mobile hand truck device for transporting objects loaded thereon, includes a frame having first and second upstanding side members and one or more cross members extending therebetween the first and second upstanding members, a guide support structure extending between respective lower portions of the first and second upstanding side members, a plurality of gripping arms operably coupled to the guide support structure, the gripping arms extending outwardly from the frame in a substantially horizontally opposed relationship with one another, and an expansion/contraction mechanism operably coupled to the gripping arms for slidably directing the gripping arms along the guide support structure, which expansion/contraction mechanism is adapted to simultaneously slide respective gripping arms in opposing directions along the guide support structure.

  • Patent number: 6343532
Abstract: A cross-bar socket wrench with a rotatable gripping handle at one end and a socket-engaging tip at the other, and with pivotally mounted torque bars arranged in oppositely disposed relationship intermediate the ends. The torque bars are secured within the driving hub and adapted for rotation between an inwardly retracted stowage disposition and a radially extended drive disposition. In their radially extended working disposition, the torque bars are at an oblique angle of between about 94° and 98° relative to the axis of the shaft so as to effectively elongate the working disposition of the device and to assist in retention during high torque operation.
