  • Patent number: 12695391
Abstract: A bidirectional isolated high voltage DC-DC converter includes a primary three-level circuit, a capacitor-inductor-inductor-capacitor (CLLC) resonant tank network connected to the primary three-level circuit, a secondary three-level circuit connected to the CLLC resonant tank network, and a controller that controls one or more of the components of the bidirectional isolated high voltage DC-DC converter. The primary three-level circuit and the secondary three-level circuit include capacitor middle points having respective voltages that are actively controlled by the controller. The controller implements a novel space vector PWM (SVPWM). The secondary capacitor middle point is chassis grounded to provide an optimal system level partial discharge hazard management for aircraft. vehicle and vessel applications. GaN power MOSFETs are used for high frequency operation of the power switches.

  • Patent number: 12504734
Abstract: A method includes receiving a sine feedback signal and a cosine feedback signal from a resolver coupled to an output shaft of an electric motor. Rectified sine and cosine signals are generated by sampling the feedback signals. A direction of rotation of the output shaft is determined using the feedback signals and the rectified signals. The rectified sine signal and the rectified cosine signal are converted into a signed sine signal and a signed cosine signal, respectively, using information associated with the direction of rotation. A speed of rotation of the output shaft is determined using the signed sine signal and the signed cosine signal. The direction and the speed of rotation are compared to a respective direction and a respective speed determined by a resolver-to-digital converter. The electric motor is operated based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20250260342
Abstract: A bidirectional high voltage AC-DC converter includes a primary three-phase three-level T-type power factor correction circuit, a full-bridge switching circuit connected to the primary three-phase three-level T-type power factor correction circuit output, an isolated capacitor-inductor-inductor-capacitor (CLLC) resonant tank connected to the full-bridge switching circuit, a T-type full-bridge output topology circuit connected to the CLLC resonant circuit, and a controller that controls one or more of the components of the bidirectional isolated high voltage AC-DC converter. The primary three-phase three-level T-type power factor correction circuit and the secondary three-level circuit include a split DC-link bus with respective voltages that are actively controlled by the controller. The CLLC resonant converter circuit includes an isolation transformer that electrically isolates the primary side from the secondary side of the bidirectional isolated high voltage AC-DC converter.
