  • Patent number: 12037900
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein include sidewall coring tool assemblies used to return core plugs of rock from a sidewall of a wellbore as part of a data collection exercise for exploration and production of hydrocarbons. A coring bit and a coring shaft of the present disclosure allow space for cuttings to move away from the bit face when drilling into a formation. In addition, certain embodiments include a plurality of inlets disposed circumferentially on an external surface at a first axial end of the coring shaft, a plurality of internal grooves disposed on an internal surface of the coring shaft, and/or a plurality of fins disposed on the external surface to direct flow of drilling and debris away from the coring bit. In addition to providing more space for cuttings to move away from the coring bit, the torque needed to drive the bit is lessened as the surface area of the bit contacting or engaging the formation is reduced.

  • Patent number: 11875387
Abstract: Systems and methods electronically obtain data regarding a plurality of sources and corresponding amounts of resources received from the sources for a plurality of relationship instances each associated with one or more respective domains of a plurality of domains. For each relationship instance of the plurality of relationship instances: the system electronically identifies a rate to calculate an amount of resource due to one or more respective domains associated with the relationship instance based on a source of a resource received for the relationship instance and the one or more respective domains and calculates an amount of resources due to at least one respective domain associated with the relationship instance based on the identified rate. For each domain of the plurality of domains, the system aggregates a total amount of resources due to the domain based on the calculated amount of resources due for each relationship instance associated with the domain.

  • Patent number: 11191216
Abstract: A conveying device for conveying crop material from a pick-up mechanism to a baler comprises a conveying channel having a base comprising an upstream base part and a downstream base part. The downstream end of the upstream base part is supported on a pair of first resilient mounting members and the upstream end of the downstream base part is supported on a pair of second resilient support members. The first and second resilient support members, in response to the force with which crop material is being urged by the feed rotor against the upstream and downstream base parts exceeding respective first and second predefined values, yield. This results in downward displacement of the upstream base part and the downstream base part to permit crop material to pass through the conveying channel.

  • Patent number: 11148289
Abstract: Features are disclosed for an end effector for automated identification and handling of an object. The end effector includes an entangling structure that can be positioned over an entanglement point of an overpackage in which a desired object is location using sensors. Using the location information, the end effector can identify a path to the entanglement location and detect whether the overpackage is engaged by detecting environmental changes at the end effector.

  • Patent number: 11111420
Abstract: An adhesive formulation is provided that is a waterborne bonding adhesive for adhering sheet membranes that may incorporate a solid plasticizer. The formulation is fast-curing and develops bond strength rapidly after application to a substrate as the adhesive dries, when the sheet membrane is mated to the substrate. The fast-curing characteristic is important to ensure the membrane is not displaced from the surface in windy exterior applications. The adhesive is formulated to form the bond between sheet membranes to substrates that illustratively include, steel, wood, concrete, roof boards, insulation, and fiberglass mat roof boards.

  • Patent number: 10934211
Abstract: The permeability of barrier layers formed from sodium bentonite clay may be significantly and unpredictably impacted upon contacting various ionic substances. Modifying agents may be admixed with sodium bentonite clay to lessen the impacts resulting from its contact with an ionic substance. Suitable modifying agents may comprise an anionic substance selected from the group consisting of a diutan, a polymer containing a 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid monomer, any salt thereof, and any combination thereof. Methods for forming a barrier layer may comprise: providing a barrier material comprising sodium bentonite clay and a modifying agent admixed with the sodium bentonite clay, the modifying agent comprising an anionic substance selected from the group consisting of a diutan, a polymer containing a 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid monomer, any salt thereof, and any combination thereof; and forming a barrier layer comprising the barrier material.
