  • Publication number: 20200046554
Abstract: A change in the response of the cornea to ultrasonic energy directed into the cornea is monitored during irradiation of the cornea to bring about corneal crosslinking. Because the change in ultrasonic response is correlated with the degree of crosslinking achieved, a desired degree of crosslinking can be achieved by terminating the irradiation when the change reaches a threshold. The change in ultrasonic response can be determined by taking a baseline measurement before irradiation and additional measurements during irradiation using the same ultrasonic transducer (47). The transducers may be carried on a device (30) resembling a contact lens which overlies the eye and which transmits the light used in the irradiation step to the eye.

  • Patent number: 10548773
Abstract: The present application relates generally to a method for vision correction using corneal collagen crosslinking (“CCXL”), in which the physician is able to precisely control the pattern of ultraviolet (“UV”) energy delivered to the cornea, by means of a programmable masking array placed between the UV source and the cornea. A CCXL LCD masked is used to create various patterns of “on” and “off” pixels. The physician is able to control the degree of polarization of the LCD pixels, thereby allowing the physician to create various patterns of UV irradiation and thus, varying levels of CCXL.

  • Publication number: 20200034103
Abstract: A method of generating display data at a display control device for display on a movable display involves receiving and storing a current frame of display data from a host device. The current frame is then processed and output for display on the movable display. Sensor data from sensors associated with the movable display is received and stored, the sensor data indicating movement and/or position of the movable display. If it is determined that a next frame of display data is not ready at the display control device for processing and outputting to the movable display at a required time, then an estimated next frame of display data is generated using the stored current frame and the stored sensor data and the estimated frame of display data is output for display on the movable display. The sensor data may be received either before or after the current frame is received, stored, processed or output.

  • Patent number: 10523075
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically routing a wire lead of a stator from a first position to a second position includes a base assembly to receive the stator. A clamp assembly is mounted on the base assembly to hold the wire lead in the first position. An arbor rotates the wire lead. The arbor has a holder to hold the wire lead. An end effector grips and moves the wire lead. A controller moves the end effector to grip the wire lead at the first position and to couple the wire lead with the arbor. Further, the controller rotates the arbor to rotate the wire lead along the circumference of the stator by a pre-determined angle. The controller moves the end effector to grip the wire lead held by the holder, and to move the wire lead to the second position.

  • Patent number: 10521185
Abstract: A user interface device for an intelligent automated assistant service uses a plurality of audio data paths that can be selectively switched to operate in a privacy mode. There is provided a first audio data input path between the audio input subsystem and an internal buffer; a first audio data output path between the internal buffer and the first communications subsystem; a second audio data output path between the internal buffer and the second communications subsystem; and a first audio data bypass path between the audio input subsystem and the second communications subsystem. In a first state, the first audio data input path directs audio data to the internal buffer, and to the first and second audio data output paths. In a second state, the first audio data input path is terminated and audio data is directed to the second communications subsystem on the first audio data bypass path.

  • Patent number: 10500693
Abstract: A method for fabricating an integrated circuit includes providing a partitioned chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP) model having a plurality of model parameters that include (i) device specific model parameters and (ii) at least one common parameter. (i) include a pre-CMP thickness of a film including a first material on an in-process device, a post-CMP target thickness for the film on the in-process device, and device group properties that account for device structure for the in-process device. (ii) includes a polish rate from an unpatterned pilot wafer having a second material thereon. The second material need not be the same as the first material. The polish time is automatically determined using the partitioned CMP model. A CMP process is performed on a patterned product wafer having a plurality of the in-process devices using a recipe including the polish time.
