  • Patent number: 4068578
Abstract: A sequence numbering code marking device includes a rotary drum housing, a stroke actuated sequential numbering printing head operated by a pivotally mounted trip lever which is eccentrically mounted on a center post to trip the counter with each revolution of the drum. Means are provided to positively cause rotation of the drum by each passing article and an improved null return mechanism is provided to cause the drum to stop its rotation at a preselected position after each rotation.

  • Patent number: 4037529
Abstract: A bottom coder is provided in which the printing head and its associated inking system are mounted in a drawer type support whereby the top of the device is clear of obstructions such as ink reservoirs and whereby the inking and printing system may be quickly and easily exposed to facilitate cleaning, adjustment and, most importantly, rapid and easy conversion of the copy to be printed to code the desired information on products or packages passing through the machine.

  • Patent number: 3977317
Abstract: A printing wheel for use in code marking machines is comprised of a hollow cylindrical type carrier rotatably mounted on a stationary spindle assembly, the type carrier and spindle assembly each containing magnetic members which align to keep the type carrier in a fixed position until rotated by an external force. A magnetic damper means may be provided to prevent oscillation or "hunting" of the type carrier when it returns to the null or fixed position by magnetic attraction between the fixed and rotating magnets.

  • Patent number: 3964383
Abstract: A marking device comprises a base affixable to a frame of a continuous processing machine, said base having paired guides thereon and slide blocks slidable on said guides and means including an air operated solenoid valved plunger carried by the guides, and self-contained self-inked printing head mounted on the end of the plunger to print on products passing through the processing machine. The position of the slides and the printing head is adjustable so that the contact pressure of the printing head against the article to be imprinted may be adjusted to provide proper printing contact between the printing head and the object to be printed.
