  • Patent number: 11910131
Abstract: Described are systems and methods for providing a publisher-subscriber architecture for audio and/or video conferencing. Embodiments of the present disclosure can utilize one edge computing resource associated with each client device participating in the audio and/or video conference. One or more client devices can publish streams to the associated edge computing resources. The streams can then be pushed, via a data network, to the edge computing resources associated with the subscribing client devices. The subscribing client devices can access and fetch the streams from the edge computing resources, which can be presented on the client devices as part of a conferencing session experience.

  • Patent number: 8490416
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of cooling a metal strip traveling through a cooling section in a continuous heat treatment line. In accordance with the invention, the method consists in projecting a refrigerant medium into the cooling section (4) onto the surface of the strip (1) to be cooled, the medium being constituted for the most part by a phase-change substance that passes into the gaseous phase at a temperature that is lower than the temperature of the strip (1) and without oxidizing said strip so that energy is exchanged within an endothermic process by a change in the phase of said phase-change substance.

  • Publication number: 20100269367
Abstract: A gas blower device for blowing gas onto a face of a traveling strip of material. The device has at least one hollow box fitted with a plurality of tubular nozzles pointing towards the face in question of the strip of material. On the side facing towards the face in question of the strip of material, the hollow box presents a surface of profile (P) that varies in at least one given direction (D) symmetrically about a midplane (Q) perpendicular to the plane of the strip. The tubular nozzles are fastened via their roots to the varying-profile surface in such a manner that their respective axes are essentially orthogonal to said varying profile at the point in question, said tubular nozzles having respective lengths that are selected so that the outlet orifices lie in a common plane substantially parallel to the plane of the strip.

  • Patent number: 7441898
Abstract: The eye is positioned relative to a detection device in such a manner as to co-operate with the device to form a Fabry-Perot cavity having a main optical axis and comprising two opposite reflecting faces on the main optical axis, one of these two faces being constituted by a stationary reflecting element and the other being formed by the cornea of the eye. An incident laser beam is injected into said cavity so as to be centered on the main optical axis of the Fabry-Perot cavity, the cornea is aligned laterally and longitudinally relative to the main optical axis in such a manner as to obtain longitudinal interference between the go and the return laser beams reflected between the two reflecting faces of the cavity, and an optoelectronic detector is used to detect the intensity I of said interference as a function of time. The invention is applicable to measuring intraocular pressure.
