    Abstract: A method is provided for filling a bag-on-valve can with a hypochlorous acid solution, including: providing a hypochlorous acid manufacturing apparatus having an anolyte storage tank in which the hypochlorous acid solution is stored; providing a bag-on-valve canning apparatus having a fluid inlet; connecting a pipe between the anolyte storage tank of the hypochlorous acid manufacturing apparatus and the fluid inlet on the bag-on-valve canning apparatus in order to provide the hypochlorous acid solution directly from the hypochlorous acid manufacturing apparatus to the bag-on-valve canning apparatus; providing a bag-on-valve can having a can in which a bag and a valve are disposed, wherein the valve seals the bag during non-use, the bag-on-valve can further including an actuator for actuating the valve; and filling the bag with the hypochlorous acid solution provided through the pipe. An apparatus is also disclosed for producing and canning a hypochlorous acid solution.

    Abstract: A portable pump is provided for negative pressure wound therapy for drawing a vacuum from a wound site via a tube. The pump includes an inlet configured to attach the tube from the wound site; a canister in fluid communication with the inlet for collecting fluids drained from the wound site; and a manually-actuated pump mechanism for creating the vacuum. The pump mechanism includes a vacuum chamber in fluid communication with the canister; a piston disposed in the vacuum chamber; and a pump handle coupled to the piston to move the piston in the vacuum chamber between first and second positions to create the vacuum. The pump handle moving between a retracted position and an extended position. The piston is in the first position when said pump handle is in the retracted position and is in the second position when said pump handle is in the extended position.

    Abstract: An adhesive formulation is provided for use in a film wound dressing. The adhesive formulation includes a medical-grade adhesive and an antimicrobial substance. This adhesive formulation may be coated onto one or more surfaces of a medical-grade transparent film suitable for a wound dressing. The antimicrobial material may be a silane quaternary ammonium salt. The silane quaternary ammonium salt may comprise 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride. The 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride may constitute about 72% of the silane quaternary ammonium salt. The medical-grade adhesive may comprise an acrylic adhesive. Further, the adhesive formulation may include about 0.01% to about 60% of the antimicrobial substance. The transparent film dressing may further include a release liner applied over the coated side(s) of the transparent film. The transparent film may comprise polyurethane.

The antimicrobial coating imparts antimicrobial properties onto the exterior surface to which it is applied, such as the exterior surface of the headlamp.
