Abstract: A method for the automatic production of a digital twin of at least one section of a building interior using at least one robot which is located in the interior of the building, includes the at least one robot having at least one sensor for the capture of a robot environment in the building interior. In the robot environment, there is at least one object that is classified in at least one object type from a number of predetermined object types. The method has the following features: capture of the robot environment by the at least one sensor of the robot to obtain captured environment data; and association of at least one object type with the object in the robot environment by means of a neural network on the basis of the environment data. The neural network is configured to recognize object types, and is executed by a processor.
