Abstract: The invention relates to machine welded obturators of generally spherical shape for equipping rotary plug valves. These obturators are composed of a central tube and an envelope formed by two hemispherical segments of pressed sheet metal which are truncated by two planes perpendicular to their diametral plane and which are welded on the one hand to one another in a diametral plane passing through the axis of the tube and through the axis of rotation and on the other hand, to two ends of the central tube, and at its outer surface, in a plane parallel to its diametral plane, each segment carries a sealing bearing or a seal in a groove.

Abstract: Plug cock equipped with a rotating plug, which comprises a cylindrical body pivoting about an axis perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder and through which passes a conduit for the passage of fluid, which body comprises, at least one of its two axial ends, a portion of sphere; the body of the plug cock according to the invention comprises a side opening, located in a plane parallel to the axis of rotation and to the axis of the conduit, the diameter of which is slightly larger than the diameter of the cylindrical body of the plug.

Abstract: The invention relates to cocks having a rotating valve and sliding seats. A cock according to the invention comprises a body equipped with fluid-passage ducts, a rotating valve, sliding seats in each duct and, to the rear of each seat, an annular space within which there slides an annular piston which is pushed towards the seat by a pressurized fluid, and which is locked mechanically in this position by screws.

Abstract: A cock valve includes a hollow body having first and second opposite end portions with the first end portion having a circular upper aperture formed therein. A valve is rotatably positioned within the body for rotation about an axis extending between said first and second end portions of the housing. The valve has first and second pivot members therein respectively located adjacent the first and second end portions of the housing and is dimensioned for removal through the aperture in the first end portion of the housing. A removable cap is mounted on the housing for closing the aperture and receiving the first pivot member of the valve. The hollow body has a generally annular groove formed therein about the opening with the groove opening inwardly towards the opening and the axis of rotation of the valve. An open resilient ring having internal and external surfaces is mounted in the groove with its external surface positioned therein, to serve to keep the cap in place.
