  • Patent number: 10816019
Abstract: A hydraulic system (e.g., of an aircraft or other vehicle) includes a pump, a pressure line coupled to the pump and configured to distribute pressurized hydraulic fluid, and a return line configured to return hydraulic fluid to a reservoir. The hydraulic system also includes an auxiliary leakage valve coupled to the pressure line, to the return line, and to an actuator. The auxiliary leakage valve is configured to receive a control signal and, based on the control signal, selectively open a restricted fluid path. The restricted fluid path couples the pressure line to the return line to allow a restricted amount of the hydraulic fluid to flow from the pressure line to the return line.

  • Patent number: 8364517
Abstract: Systems and methods for reconciling a forecast are presented. A method can be used that receives a plurality of hierarchical forecast data sets. An output child data set including an index value and a status indicator representing an unprocessed state is generated. A particular parent data set forecast is identified from a parent data set. Locations for a group of one or more child data set forecasts that are children of the particular parent data set forecast are identified and accessed. A reconciliation operation is performed, a particular child data set forecast is adjusted and stored in a record, and a status indicator for the record is modified.

  • Publication number: 20120089609
Abstract: Systems and methods for reconciling a forecast for a dimension based upon data that is associated with the dimension. A method can be used that includes generating a plurality of forecasts for the dimensions such that the forecast of a first dimension is generated independently of a forecast of a second dimension. The forecast of the first dimension has a constraint that is influenced by the forecast of the second dimension. A reconciliation is performed between the forecast of the first dimension and the forecast of the second dimension in order to determine how the constraint of the first dimension's forecast is to influence the first dimension's forecast.

  • Patent number: 7530025
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for handling time-stamped data. The one or more GUIs are used to define properties of an event and to associate the event with time-stamped data. The properties of the event defined using the one or more GUIs includes one or more statistical properties that indicate how the event statistically affects the time-stamped data. A time series analysis program uses the time-stamped data and the associated event to generate a mathematical model.

  • Patent number: 5773064
Abstract: A method of preparing raw molluscan shellfish meat in the shell is disclosed which employs a mild heat treatment and cold storage for the destruction or reduction to lower levels of harmful pathogenic bacteria such as Vibrio vulnificus, Vibrio cholerae and others. The raw molluscan shellfish, such as oysters, arrives at the processing plant in a refrigerated state. The mollusks then have a band placed around them, securing them against opening. The banded mollusks are then placed in a fluid bath at a sufficient temperature and duration to kill pathogens yet leave the meat in a raw state. The mollusks are then conveyed from the heated fluid bath and placed in a cold fluid bath. The mollusks are then removed from the cold fluid bath. The natural enclosure of the mechanically banded mollusk prevents the hot or cold fluids from contacting the flesh of the mollusk. The mollusks remain in a raw state and in the shell throughout the process. The pathogenic bacteria are reduced through the action of this process.

  • Patent number: 5679392
Abstract: A method of preparing raw molluscan shellfish meat in the shell or out of the shell is disclosed which employs a mild heat treatment and cold storage for the destruction of harmful pathogenic bacteria such as Vibrio Vulnificus. The raw molluscan shellfish, such as Oysters, arrives at the processing plant in a refrigerated state. The product is then culled, cleaned and graded into categories according the product size. The product is then enveloped in a polymer or metalized film bag to isolate the product. The bagged product is then placed on a rack which is then lowered into a circulating bath of water at a sufficient temperature and duration to kill the pathogens yet leave the meat in a raw state. The rack is then removed from the heated water bath and placed in a cold water bath with a continuous flow for a time period. The rack is removed from the cold water bath. At no time did the hot or cold bath waters come in contact with the bagged mollusk (product).

  • Patent number: 4449335
Abstract: A roof framing system consisting of an apex bracket and two bracket assemblies, each bracket assembly consisting of a rafter bracket and sill plate bracket. The apex bracket has two U-shaped sections joined by a bendable intermediate section. The U-shaped sections grasp the upper end of a pair of opposing rafters, while the bendable section accommodates the desired pitch of the roof. The rafter bracket has a U-shaped section for grasping the lower end of a rafter bracket and has two arms separated by a distance sufficient to allow a rafter to be disposed therebetween. The sill plate bracket has a right-angled section for mounting a top sill plate and has two arms separated by a distance sufficient to allow a rafter to be disposed therebetween. The sill plate bracket's arms receive and support the rafter bracket's arms, thereby allowing opposing rafters to be mounted at their lower end and subsequently to be rotated towards the apex of the roof for joining by the apex bracket.
