  • Patent number: 11069362
Abstract: A home assistant device and a method for privacy-preserving vocal interactions. A microphone captures an audio signal corresponding to a vocal user query. The identity of the speaker is determined, and an obfuscated name is generated corresponding to the identified speaker. The audio signal is analysed to determine the intent of the user and a personalized answer is generated in combination with the obfuscated name. This answer is then de-obfuscated by reintroducing the speaker name. The de-obfuscated answer is rendered to the speaker.

  • Publication number: 20190097882
Abstract: In an access point, data communication of network devices between the network devices and a wide area network or between the network devices is monitored. Change points are detected in the monitored data. If a change point coincides with a removal/addition of a network device, configuration settings on the gateway for a network device may be automatically changed, transferred to another network device and/or reset to a default, possibly more restrictive configuration. Network management and data protection are facilitated and improved.

Abstract: A device and a method for authorizing access to a service on a first device upon detection of a second device located in near proximity, while preferably using broadcast transmission, is disclosed. The second device broadcasts on a second broadcast network a message comprising at least a group identifier common to the set of devices that can access the service and a time reference value corresponding to the emission time of the message, according to a common time reference received by all devices from a first broadcast network. The first device authorizes access to the service only if the group identifier received from the message is the same as the group identifier of the device and if the delay between the measured arrival of the message and its emission time is lower than a threshold.

  • Patent number: 9380578
Abstract: A method for establishing a first and second association between a main node and respectively a first and second wireless node is disclosed. The first association associates a first virtual access point VAP1 of the main node and the first node. The first virtual access point transmits to the first node first beacon frames comprising a first item of information BSSID1 representative of the first association BSS1. The first virtual access point VAP1 is identified by a services set identifier SSID. According to the invention, when the main node receives from the node a request for the establishment of the second association BSS2, the method comprises, at controller level, a step of creation of a second virtual access point so as to isolate the transmissions over the associations.
