  • Publication number: 20120300644
Abstract: A method (500) for estimating a carrier frequency offset in a communication system (100) is disclosed herein. In a described embodiment, the communications system (100) comprises a first communications device (120), a second communications device (122) and a relay (110).

  • Publication number: 20070035014
Abstract: A method reduces a value of an inductance in series with a decoupling capacitor for a ball grid array. The ball grid array includes a plurality of conductive balls coupled to conductive interconnects exposed on a surface of a circuit board. The surface includes a periphery and an interior and has conductive interconnects exposed on both the interior and the periphery. The method includes physically positioning at least one decoupling capacitor adjacent conductive interconnects on the interior of the surface of the circuit board and electrically coupling each capacitor to at least two of the adjacent conductive interconnects.

  • Publication number: 20050196157
Abstract: A motor drive circuit includes a switching circuit having an input node that receives a drive signal and a control node that receives a control signal. The switching circuit couples the input node to an output node responsive to the control signal. A bias element receives an input signal and is coupled to the output node of the switching circuit. The bias element automatically develops a bias voltage on the output responsive to the input signal. The drive circuit may be used, for example, in a motor control system to control the speed of a DC motor, such as in a power supply for a computer system.

  • Publication number: 20050195544
Abstract: A current control circuit receives a power supply voltage on a supply node and is coupled between the supply node and a storage node that is coupled to an energy storage circuit. The current control circuit is operable in a charging mode to limit a current supplied from the supply node to the storage node and operable in a discharge mode to instantaneously supply current to the supply node from the storage node responsive to a voltage on the supply node being less than a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 6259737
Abstract: A computationally efficient method and apparatus for motion estimation by producing accurate motion vectors with minimal computational effort. A preferred embodiment of the present invention first identifies an approximate match between a reference frame and a current frame of video data. Once an approximate match is found, the method performs at least two searches at a finer pixel level, until a motion estimate is reached.
