    Abstract: An exhaust system of an internal combustion engine comprises for each outlet port of each cylinder a primary and a secondary exhaust pipe, which latter are connected at their opposite end in a junction box with the primary exhaust pipe of a succeeding cylinder in the firing order so that negative pressure is created in the second exhaust pipe and evacuation of exhaust gases from the succeeding cylinder in the firing order is enhanced.
