  • Patent number: 10336863
Abstract: In a curable composition that contains at least one polymer having at least one terminal group of the general formula (I) -An-R—SiXYZ??(I), at least one cyclic compound that contains at least one structural motif of formula (II) as a constituent of the ring structure; and at least one cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid dialkyl ester in which the alkyl residues of the ester groups each, mutually independently, contain 1 to 20 carbon atoms. The curable composition can be used as an adhesive, sealant, and/or coating material. A combination of a cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid dialkyl ester, in which the alkyl residues of the ester groups each, mutually independently, contain 1 to 20 carbon atoms and a cyclic compound that contains at least one structural motif of the general formula (II) as a constituent of the ring structure, as a plasticizer/curing catalyst system in curable compositions.

  • Patent number: 8003745
Abstract: The invention relates to ?-ethoxysilane modified polymers of the average general formula (I): in which R is a mono- to tetravalent polymer radical, not more than a third of the radicals R1, R2, and R3 present in the polymer of the formula (I), independently of one another, are alkyl radicals having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, at least a quarter of the radicals R1, R2, and R3 present in the polymer of the formula (I), independently of one another, are ethoxy radicals, any remaining radicals R1, R2, and R3, independently of one another, are methoxy radicals, and in which n is 1 to 4. The invention further relates to a process for preparing the polymers of the formula (I), and also to their use in adhesives, sealants, and coating materials.

  • Publication number: 20100055474
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to silane-crosslinking adhesives or sealants comprising a) at least one polymer of the general formula (I) in which R is a monovalent to tetravalent hydrocarbon radical, R1 is an alkyl radical having 1 to 8 C atoms, R2 is an alkyl or alkoxy radical having 1 to 8 C atoms, and A is a carboxyl, carbamate, carbonate, ureido, urethane or sulfonate linker or an oxygen atom, x is 1 to 8, and n is 1 to 4, and b) at least one adhesion promoter, dryer and/or reactive diluent. The adhesion promoters, dryers, and/or reactive diluents are ethoxy-functional ?-silanes of the general formula (II) in which R3 is an organic radical attached to the methylene group via a heteroatom, and R4 is an alkyl radical having 1 to 8 C atoms or an ethoxy radical. The disclosure further relates to a process for producing the adhesives or sealants, and also to their use.
