  • Publication number: 20190167101
Abstract: An external data retrieval apparatus receives a low resolution version of a physiological signal from an active implantable medical device and determines if the physiological signal represents a clinically significant event. The apparatus provides an indication of such determination to the implantable medical device. If the physiological signal does represent a clinically significant event, the apparatus receives a full download of the physiological signal from the implantable device.

  • Publication number: 20190150105
Abstract: The power level at which signals are transmitted from an external communication interface to an implanted communication interface through a communications link is periodically adjusted. A range of power levels bounded by a minimum transmit power level and a maximum transmit power level is determined. A preferred transmit power level is selected from within the range of power levels, and is used by the external communication interface to transmit signals to the implanted communication interface. Each of the minimum transmit power level and the maximum transmit power level is determined by intentionally causing a reception error to occur at the implanted communication interface, and then making further power level adjustments until a final minimum transmit power level and final maximum transmit power level are obtained.

  • Patent number: 10232325
Abstract: The invention relates to a fluid premixer for mixing a first fluid and a second fluid by aspirating the second fluid into the first fluid by Venturi effect. The premixer comprises a pipe which has a first inlet for the first fluid at a first pressure and a second inlet for the second fluid to be mixed into the first fluid to form a mixture. The pipe also has an outlet for the mixture at a second pressure and a shutter movable between several positions where each position defines a distinct degree of shutting of the pipe. The premixer also includes a control element to control the position of the shutter as a function of the difference between the first pressure and the second pressure.

  • Publication number: 20190012340
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for updating a knowledge graph based on a user confirmation. A media guidance application receives a user communication and isolates a term of the user communication. The media guidance application identifies a candidate component of a knowledge graph associated with the term. The media guidance application requests user input directed to confirming whether the term is associated with the candidate component. In response to receiving the user input, the media guidance application modifies a strength of association between the term and the component.

  • Patent number: 10087611
Abstract: A toilet includes a bowl including a supply water plenum providing the water to the basin, a primary drain fluidly connecting and terminating at a drain passage and a secondary drain fluidly connecting the supply water plenum to the sewer drainage pipe. The secondary drain is separate from the primary drain and includes at least one secondary drain inlet that is disposed within the supply water plenum, a second drain channel, and a second drain outlet. The inlet permits rising waste water to flow from the supply water plenum into the second drain channel and out of the second drain outlet to the sewer drainage pipe separately from the waste water of the primary drain. The supply water plenum also includes a diverting wall located upstream of the secondary drain inlet configured to divert water flowing from upstream from flowing into the inlet.

  • Patent number: 10067344
Abstract: Disclosed herein are apparatus, devices, and methods to provide a modified-transmissivity zone on a projection surface used to generate a virtual image superimposed onto a real-world view. In particular, a variable-transmissivity material may be provided in the projection surface. The transmissivity of variable-transmissivity material may be modified responsive to application of a stimulus. A stimulus source may be configured to selectively apply a stimulus to the variable-transmissivity material to generate a discrete modified-transmissivity zone on the projection surface.
