Publication number: 20100096490Abstract: The invention is an unmanned flying helicopter aircraft platform (“aircraft platform”) that can be powered by either interchangeable electric motors or by fuel powered internal combustion engines. The aircraft platform is surrounded by a lightweight exoskeleton cage that protects the rotor blades from coming into contact with external objects. The aircraft platform uses a weight located on the bottom side of the aircraft platform that can be remotely moved to adjust the center of gravity in order to navigate in any direction. The aircraft platform has a place on its bottom side where attachments can be added or removed which allows the aircraft platform to be used for multiple different purposes. The aircraft platform can be flown and operated either remotely using a hand held control unit or it can be flown and operated by an onboard pilot located in the human carrying attachment.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2008Publication date: April 22, 2010Inventor: Kevin Patrick Gordon

Publication number: 20090320096Abstract: A method to regulate access to a health record of an individual includes receiving a request from an application, the request identifying an item in the health record to which access is requested. The method further includes presenting the request to a marshal of the health record via a user interface and receiving a response from the marshal of the health record via the user interface, the response indicating whether access to the item is authorized or withheld. The method further includes granting the application access to the item if the response indicates that access to the item is authorized, and denying access to the item from the application if the response indicates that access to the item is withheld.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2008Publication date: December 24, 2009Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Sean Nolan, Robert May, Johnson Apacible, Michael Patrick Gordon, Tien Suwandy, Matthew Wagner

Publication number: 20090320092Abstract: A server system for regulating access to a health record of an individual includes a communications subsystem, a logic subsystem operatively coupled to the communications subsystem and configured to execute instructions, memory operatively coupled to the logic subsystem and holding user-interface instructions that, when executed by the logic subsystem, send information via the communications subsystem for presenting a user interface. In this embodiment, the user interface includes a list of one or more items in the health record to which an application has requested access, and for each of the one or more items, a configuration-indicating element distinguishing whether the application is configured to service the individual if access to that item is denied. The user interface further includes for each of the one or more items, one or more presettable selection elements enabling a marshal of the health record to authorize or withhold access to that item.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2008Publication date: December 24, 2009Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Johnson Apacible, Michael Patrick Gordon, Michael Stokes

Publication number: 20090231042Abstract: A broadband power amplifier using a novel high power feedback structure is disclosed in this patent. Feedback is widely used in amplifier design to broaden the bandwidth of the amplifier. Traditionally, the feedback resistor is either an axial resistor placed over the top of the transistor or a surface mount resistor with a long PCB trace making up the rest of the feedback path. However, each of these methods has it's limitations. The axial resistor doesn't have good heat sinking capability and therefore cannot handle high power. The feedback on PCB makes the feedback path long and becomes positive feedback at high frequency, thus limiting the high end frequency of operation of the amplifier in a stable region. The feedback structure disclosed in this patent has a good heat sinking path, has very short feedback path; allowing for higher frequency operation.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2008Publication date: September 17, 2009Inventors: Pengcheng Jia, Patrick Gordon Courtney

Patent number: 7559207Abstract: A method and system for controlling refrigerant pressure in an HVAC system. The method includes providing a compressor, a condenser and an evaporator connected in a closed refrigerant loop. The condenser has a header arrangement capable of distributing refrigerant to a plurality of refrigerant circuits within the condenser. The header arrangement also is capable of selectively isolating at least one of the circuits from refrigerant flow. Refrigerant pressure is sensed at a predetermined location in the refrigeration system. At least one of the circuits is isolated when the refrigerant pressure is less than or equal to a predetermined pressure.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2005Date of Patent: July 14, 2009Assignee: York International CorporationInventors: John Terry Knight, Anthony William Landers, Patrick Gordon Gavula, Stephen Blake Pickle
