  • Patent number: 10879017
Abstract: A closing edge safety device that triggers a safety response upon contact with an obstacle. The body of the safety device is an elastically deformable profile element that encloses a switch chamber containing a switching strip that carries an electrical current. A prechamber with a switching nub is placed at the leading edge of the safety device, in front of the switch chamber. When an external force is applied to the leading edge of the safety device, the switching nub transmits the force to the switch chamber, which also deforms, causing an interruption in the electrical current on the switching strip, thereby triggering the desired safety response of the closing edge safety device. The closing edge safety device provides improved response to large-area as well as small-area contact with an obstacle and is also suitable for use as a limit switch.

  • Patent number: 10472854
Abstract: A method for creating a key and a female lock part for a lock, whereby just a few parts are used to create a high number of unique locks. A coding part and a blank are affixed to each other to create the key or female lock part. Coding part and blank each have a contact surface, which, when brought together, can rotate continuously relative each other. The coding part is placed on the blank at a desired rotational position and affixed in that position, either by welding or adhesively. To create a lock with a unique lock function, two coding parts with mating contact surfaces are each attached to a blank, The key and female lock part so made function only with each other. In this way, the same basic coding part and basic blank can be used to create a large number of different locks.

  • Patent number: 10340095
Abstract: A safety-switch device for mounting on a movable device. An impact surface is mounted on or assembled in a bracket. The bracket, impact surface, and a mounting surface of the movable device form a protective enclosure around the switch. The switch is a switch strip or a switch mat. The impact surface is a separate, movable, rigid or stiff component that serves as an actuator for the switch and is provided as a component that is easily replaceable. A trigger mechanism is provided between the impact surface and the switch. When the impact surface moves from its resting position to its actuation position, the trigger mechanism trips the switch.

  • Patent number: 9527130
Abstract: A method for coding components of a locking system which are used to code a key and a female lock part. The coding components may be formed integrally with the key and female lock part or be provided as coding discs that are then affixed to non-coded bodies used for the key and female lock part. A blank of an easily machinable preliminary material is separated into two coding parts with a separation cut that simultaneously creates a coding surface on each coding part. These coding parts serve as the model to mold the coding components in a lost-wax process. Each coding part is encased in a material that forms a mold shell. The coding part is then melted or gasified and escapes from the mold shell, which now has a mold cavity that is then cast with the final material to be used for the coding components.

  • Patent number: 9205500
Abstract: A method for coding a key and a female lock part for a lock in a lock system, whereby a blank is separated into two parts by a separating cut that is guided perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the blank. The cut forms a coding contour. The two parts are then post-processed to form the key and the female lock part or serve as coding disks that are affixed to a key and a female lock part.

  • Patent number: 7220928
Abstract: A safety strip for a striking edge protection device or closing edge protection device has contact elements arranged transversal to the longitudinal extension of the holding bodies, and the points of contact of the contact elements enable a flow of current from one side of one holding body to the other side of the other holding body. To this end, the holding bodies can be provided in the form of contact strips, spring brackets or the like, and sensors can be used instead of the contact elements. These sensors are mounted transversal to the longitudinal extension of the contact strips or of the spring bracket, and the sensors, via the operation thereof, actuate the electrical switching device.

  • Patent number: 6481157
Abstract: A closing edge safety device that consists of a safety strip (1) that has an electric switching device which is made up of a plurality of contact elements (2) that are arranged next to each other in a flexible tube (3). The contact elements (2) can be magnetized, an expander chord (5) can pass through them or they can lie on top of each other as a result of their weight, whereby they are urged to abut one another. When contact between one or more of the contact elements is broken, a signal is generated.

  • Patent number: 6337786
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric switching device with a signalling element which triggers a switching function when the closed circuit is interrupted, a relay safety assembly being switched into the closed circuit. The incoming and outgoing electrical lines from the closed circuit to the signalling element are each surrounded by a safety shielding which is connected to the earth potential of the signalling element at one end and to the protective-conductor terminal of the relay safety assembly at the other end. The secondary circuit of the transformer in the relay safety assembly is connected to the safety shielding on one side.

  • Patent number: 5942966
Abstract: The invention concerns a closing-edge-type fuse with a safety strip (1) which comprises an electric switch device and consists of a plurality of contact elements (2, 2a) which are disposed in a row in a resilient tube (3). In the rest position, under the effect of resilient prestress, the contact elements (2, 2a) abut one another at contact points provided at the end face. Under the effect of an external force when the tube (3) is deformed, the contact elements (2, 2a) are moved apart breaking the contact. A resilient contact element bed (4, 4a), which is adapted to the shape of the contact elements (2, 2a) and accommodates each of the contact elements individually, is provided in the resilient tube (3).
