    Abstract: Methods and systems implement a videotelephony platform and a reception exchange configured to connect calls through multiple backbone telecommunication services based on heterogeneous client configurations. Due to the intensive infrastructural investments required to host audio and video telecommunication, providers of telemedicine services generally cannot self-host videotelephony services, and rely on third-party telecommunication services instead. However, to comply with laws and regulations imposing security requirements over communication of personal medical information, the implementation of end-to-end encryption on patient-to-practitioner communication channels is commonly adopted to eliminate the risk that communication of personal health data leads to unexpected breaches in compliance.
