  • Patent number: 11931532
Abstract: A valve actuator that moves in a catheter assembly between a first position where a valve is closed and a second position where the valve is open, the valve actuator including a shaft portion at a distal end of the valve actuator that is configured to pierce the valve, a mating portion at a proximal end of the valve actuator that is configured to engage a Luer device, a diameter reduction region that connects the shaft portion and the mating portion, and a plurality of windows that extend through the valve actuator for flushing fluid, the plurality of windows being disposed in the diameter reduction region, wherein each of the plurality of windows does not extend a full length of the diameter reduction region.

  • Publication number: 20070242071
Abstract: A method and system for generating display data for a user interface, including: (i) receiving an input string including ideographic characters; (ii) selecting an ideographic character from said input string; (iii) generating a first word or phrase starting from said selected character, said first word or phrase corresponding to the largest plurality of consecutive ideographic characters from said input string corresponding to a word or phrase in a dictionary; (iv) generating additional words or phrases based on a plurality of consecutive ideographic characters from said input string starting from a character in said first word or phrase, for each character in said first word or phrase, each said additional word or phrase corresponding to a word or phrase in said dictionary; and (v) generating said display data for displaying a set of consecutive characters from said input string on said user interface, said set including all the characters from said first word or phrase and said additional words or phrases,

  • Patent number: 4031735
Abstract: Apparatus for joining together two wires by deforming a crimping clip around the wires. The apparatus has a pair of crimping jaws and a support member for the clip, the jaws and support member moving into a crimping position to deform the clip around the wires. The jaws and support member are moved by a toggle linkage which develops an output force which varies with the condition of the toggle and increases as the jaws and support member move toward the crimping position.

  • Patent number: 4029383
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a first body rotatably mounted in a hollow second member. In one form, the second member is a hollow cylinder and the first member has a cylindrical portion to fit the cylinder and a tapered portion of snail-cam cross-section to clamp a conductor inserted between the tapered portion and the bore of the second member. Clamping is achieved by relative rotation of the members, a recess for an Allen key being provided in the first member, and projections or serrations are provided to rupture insulation. In a second form, the second member is frusto-conical and the first member is correspondingly tapered. Also described, are an end-cap for the connector with projection-and-recess means to retain it in place, and the use of projections and corresponding recesses for axial location of the members and limitation of the degree of rotation. A double-ended connector is also shown.
