  • Publication number: 20140291068
Abstract: A composite batt structure that forms an effective low frequency sound absorber for use in buildings, appliances, automotive vehicles, and the like. The composite structure uses a facer covering a batt comprised of carded and crosslapped mixture of fibers. The general acoustic behavior of the composite batt structure has a low frequency absorption maximum by varying the number of crosslaps or the proportions of the fiber mixture. This allows for the composite batt structure to be tunable or layered with different laps.

  • Publication number: 20130273801
Abstract: A non-woven web, comprising one or more polymeric fibers, wherein the number-average fiber diameter distribution of said one or more polymeric fibers conforms to a Johnson unbounded distribution. Non-woven webs comprising such polymeric fibers are rendered with mean-flow pore size and porosity desirable for specific filtration applications such as hepafiltration.

  • Publication number: 20070284280
Abstract: An improved child-resistant blister package is provided in which the lidding component includes a tear-resistant nonwoven layer and a barrier layer. The nonwoven layer can be a melt-spun continuous filament nonwoven web. The lidding component used in peel off-push through blister packages of the invention contains fewer layers, can be processed at higher blister package sealing temperatures and has improved puncture resistance compared to lidding components used in child-resistant packages known in the art. In addition, in peel off-push through and peel-open package designs of the present invention, the lidding peels more cleanly from the blister component compared to packages known in the art which have a tendency to tear during peeling.
