    Abstract: A method for mounting an accessory at a vehicular windshield includes adhesively attaching a base portion of each of at least three fixing elements at an interior cabin side of the windshield in a spaced apart non-contiguous manner. A frame includes a plurality of individual receiving portions. With the windshield installed in the vehicle, the frame is attached at the fixing elements via receiving an elongated portion of a respective and corresponding one of the fixing elements in a respective and corresponding one of the receiving portions of the frame. With the windshield installed in the vehicle, and with the frame attached at the fixing elements, a camera is disposed at the frame and received at structure of the frame, such that the camera views through the windshield via an aperture existing in the frame and a light transmissive aperture in a light absorbing layer of the windshield.

A support bracket for attaching the interior rearview mirror assembly to a portion of the interior cabin of a vehicle includes a second pivot element that connects with the first pivot element of the backplate to form a pivot joint that enables angular adjustment by the driver of the rearward field of view provided by the mirror element. Circuitry is supported by the backplate and a housing, principally serving as a cosmetic shroud, connects with the bezel.

The mirror assembly includes at least one light sensor disposed behind the first substrate of the mirror unit and generally at the recessed perimeter region of the second substrate. The at least one light sensor is operable to receive light through the first substrate and unobstructed by the second substrate of the mirror unit. The light may be received through a bezel of the mirror assembly and through the first substrate and unobstructed by the second substrate.

The ball member includes a plurality of electrical contacts on a convex surface thereof for sliding engagement by respective counter-contacts over a range of angular movement of the mirror unit for supplying power to the electrical circuit from a vehicle electrical system external to the mirror assembly.

The inner opening lever and outer opening lever are pivotally mounted on the base plate by a second shaft parallel to the first shaft, and are provided on opposite sides of the base plate, respectively.

The motorized closure assembly has an electric motor and a rotating lever for displacing the latch from a half-latched position to a full-latched position. The latch has a latch arm which substantially extends toward an outer panel of the door and overlaps with a rotating locus of the rotating lever.

    Abstract: A latch device for use with a vehicle trunk lid comprises a base plate and an actuator unit mounted on the base plate. The base plate has a latch adapted to engage with a striker and a ratchet arranged to engage with the latch for maintaining engagement between the latch and the striker. The actuator unit has a motor, an output gear turned by means of the motor, a cam lever connected to the output gear with a lost motion coupling and a connection shaft which rotates together with the cam lever as one body. The cam lever is adapted to make the ratchet leave the latch when turned. The latch device further has an open lever engaged with a rod leading to a key cylinder of a trunk. The open lever is secured on the connection shaft. The connection shaft and the cam lever are formed from synthetic resin in such a manner to be integral with each other.
