Publication number: 20240034386Abstract: In one example, an organizer removably couples to a handle of a child carrier. The organizer has a tray, a storage container, and a flexible material. The tray has an opening that extends into the tray's upper end towards the tray's lower end and that can receive an item for storage. The storage container is disposed below the tray and has an open upper end and a closed bottom end. The flexible material is coupled to the tray and the storage container. The organizer transitions between an expanded configuration in which the flexible material defines sides of the organizer between the tray and the storage container, and a compact configuration in which the tray and storage container are positioned closer to one another. In another example, the child carrier has a handle that extends and retracts and that prevents installation of the organizer when the handle is extended.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2021Publication date: February 1, 2024Inventors: Daniel A. Sack, Patrick J. G. Bowers, Curtis M. Hartenstine, Andrew J. Horst, Colin F. Eggert-Crowe, Lance J. Clemmer

Publication number: 20240034383Abstract: In one example, a wheeled carriage has a frame with couplers that releasably couple to a child carrier so as to prevent upwards removal of the child carrier from the carriage. The couplers can include a pair of couplers that removably couple to opposing sides of the child carrier. The couplers can include at least one other coupler that removably couples to the child carrier. The carriage is devoid of any push handle that extends above the child carrier and is configured to be pushed by a push handle of the child carrier when the child carrier is coupled to the carriage. The at least one other coupler can limit torque applied to the pair of couplers when the carriage is pushed by the child carrier push handle, and/or couple to a coupler of an infant car seat that also couples the infant car seat to a car seat base.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2021Publication date: February 1, 2024Inventors: DANIEL A. SACK, Patrick J. G. Bowers, Curtis M. Hartenstine, Andrew J. Horst, Colin F. Eggert-Crowe, Lance J. Clemmer

Publication number: 20240034384Abstract: In one example, a child carriage has a frame with wheels. The frame has a coupler that removably couples the child carriage to a child carrier, such as a seat or bassinet. The frame has first and second leg assemblies, each having a front leg and a rear leg that are pivotably coupled about a first axis. The first crosspiece extends between the front legs of the first and second leg assemblies, and the second crosspiece extends between the rear legs of the first and second leg assemblies. The carriage is devoid of any push handle that extends above the child carrier. The frame folds about (i) the first axis from an expanded configuration to a first folded configuration so as to align hinges of the first and second crosspieces along a second axis, and (ii) the second axis from the first folded configuration to a second folded configuration.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2021Publication date: February 1, 2024Inventors: Daniel A. Sack, Patrick J. G. Bowers, Curtis M. Hartenstine, Andrew J. Horst, Colin F. Eggert-Crowe, Lance J. Clemmer

Publication number: 20240017759Abstract: In one example, a carriage for pushing a child carrier has a wheeled frame that transitions between expanded and folded configurations. The frame has first and second leg assemblies and first and second linkages. The first leg assembly has a first front leg and a first rear leg that are pivotably coupled to one another. The second leg assembly has a second front leg and a second rear leg that are pivotably coupled to one another. The first linkage is attached to the first front leg and the first rear leg, and the second linkage is attached to the second front leg and the second rear leg so as to guide movement of the front and rear legs as the frame is transitioned between the expanded and folded configurations. The first and second linkages each define a support surface that supports an underside of the child carrier.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2021Publication date: January 18, 2024Inventors: DANIEL A. Sack, Patrick J.G. Bowers, Curtis M. Hartenstin, Andrew J. Horst, Colin F. Eggert-Crowe, Lance J. Clemmer

Publication number: 20230320494Abstract: An infant seat includes a seat back member including an outer hub, a seat support member including an inner hub, a seat structure connected to the seat back member, and a locking mechanism including a slide gear and operably disposed on the seat back member. The inner hub is pivotably connected to the outer hub to make the seat back member rotatably connected to the seat support member for forming a cross bar structure. The slide gear is slidable within the outer and inner hubs for engaging with the outer and inner hubs to stop rotation of the inner hub on the outer hub. When the locking mechanism translates the slide gear to an unlocked position, the slide gear is disengaged from the outer hub to make the seat back member rotatable relative to the seat support member for adjusting a tilt angle of the seat structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2023Publication date: October 12, 2023Inventors: Andrew J. TAYLOR, Daniel A. SACK, Patrick J. G. BOWERS, Curtis M. HARTENSTINE

Publication number: 20230301440Abstract: A foldable bassinet includes an upper bassinet frame, a pair of leg structures opposite to each other, and a bottom board. Each leg structure has an upper tower portion and a lower ledge portion. The upper bassinet frame is disposed through the upper tower portion of each leg structure to make each leg structure pivotable relative to the upper bassinet frame between a supporting position and a folding position. The bottom board is detachably configured between the two lower ledge portions and defines a containing space cooperatively with the upper bassinet frame and the leg structures. When the bottom board is detached from the two lower ledge portions, the leg structures are rotatable from the supporting position to the folding position to be folded inwardly relative to the upper bassinet frame.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2023Publication date: September 28, 2023Applicant: WONDERLAND SWITZERLAND AGInventors: Andrew J. Taylor, Daniel A. Sack, Patrick J.G. Bowers, Curtis M. Hartenstine, Peter R. Tuckey

Publication number: 20230302970Abstract: A support base for a child safety seat includes a shell, a belt clamp and a latching mechanism. The shell is adapted to receive a child seat thereon, and has a belt anchoring region including a first surface and a second surface. The belt clamp is pivotally connected with the shell, and is operable to clamp a first belt portion and a second belt portion respectively adjacent to the first surface and the second surface. The latching mechanism is operable to lock the belt clamp in a clamping state.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 29, 2023Publication date: September 28, 2023Inventors: Robert Scott ANDERSON, Curtis M. HARTENSTINE, Patrick J.G. BOWERS
