    Abstract: An extendible antenna (10) includes an antenna rod (11) attached to a hinge (13) for rotational movement about a transverse axis (15) of the hinge (13). The hinge (13) is fitted within a housing (14) and is slidingly moveable therewithin. When the antenna rod (11) and the hinge (13) are in a fully extended position, the antenna rod (11) is pivotally rotatable relative to the housing (14) from a center position to either of two opposite end positions.
