  • Patent number: 10117043
Abstract: Bluetooth Low Energy nodes are serially-connected with a cable that includes power lines and can include communication wires. The nodes do not have individual batteries. Instead, a single common power source is connected to the wires to provide power for all the nodes. The nodes can also be connected in series with the communication wires (which can be the same as the power wires) along a length of the cable. A headend interface can also be connected at one point of the cable to provide a communication interface with the nodes. The nodes can transmit and/or receive beacons to be used for locationing of mobile devices.

  • Publication number: 20120164877
Abstract: An access point which is installed over the standard electronic wall box and provides access to different types of existing cables in a standard electronic wall box is disclosed. The access point includes at least one pass-through slot which houses a pass-through port. The pass-through port supports different types of connectors for different types of cables installed in the standard electronic wall box. The pass-through slot is used to expose the different types of connectors on the access point. The access point also includes a connection port to connect the access point to a wall cable which is a network uplink cable for connecting the access point to a network. The access point further includes an expansion slot to connect an expansion module to the access point. When the access point is installed on the standard electronic wall box, the pass-through slot is used to expose a cable that is different from the wall cable.

  • Patent number: 6104620
Abstract: This invention is directed to a PCMCIA Type II memory card holder assembly for a spread spectrum radio communication card that provides radio frequency interference shielding, electrostatic discharge resistance and heat dissipation. The card holder assembly consists of a multilayer circuit board and a card holder. The multilayer circuit board has a ground plane disposed between a plurality of analog circuit layers and a plurality of digital circuit layers. The ground plane is connected by through vias to ground traces on the surfaces of the circuit board. The card holder consists of a card holder frame in which the memory card is slidably and rotatably mounted so that the ground traces continuously contact the frame, and two outer cover plates which are adhered to the opposing surfaces of the card holder frame.
