    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a firearm cartridge with an electroless nickel bullet coating. In embodiments, a nickel-phosphorous alloy is deposited on a copper bullet to produce a coated bullet, a propellant with a copper inhibiting additive is inserted in a cartridge casing and the coated bullet is inserted in the mouth of the casing. Embodiments of the firearm cartridge include a casing, a propellant with a copper inhibiting additive positioned in the cavity of the casing and a copper bullet secured within the casing, wherein the copper bullet has a nickel-phosphorous coating.
