  • Patent number: 11386065
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to efficiently processing of concurrent database transactions. In one embodiment, a database system receives a first key-value pair for a database transaction and stores the key-value pair in a data structure for active database transactions. The storing may include indexing into a hash table of the data structure with a key of the key-value pair to identify a hash bucket of the hash table corresponding to the key, acquiring a latch associated with the identified hash bucket, and, based on a state of the acquired latch, appending, to the hash bucket, a record specifying the key-value pair. The database system may cause the key-value pair from the data structure to be committed to persistent storage in response to the database transaction being committed.

  • Publication number: 20220207432
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include computer-implemented processes that determine, in real time, a likelihood of a targeted future engagement using trained artificial intelligence processes. For example, an apparatus may generate a first input dataset based on elements of first interaction data associated with a first temporal interval, and based on an application of a trained first artificial intelligence process to the first input dataset, generate output data representative of a predicted likelihood of an occurrence of each of a plurality of target events during a second temporal interval. The second temporal interval is subsequent to the first temporal interval and is separated from the first temporal interval by a corresponding buffer interval. Further, the apparatus may transmit at least a portion of the output data to a computing system, which may generate notification data associated with the predicted likelihood, and provision the notification data to a device.

  • Publication number: 20220188893
Abstract: A first network signal is received indicating a device identifier in response to a transaction involving an electronic device uniquely associated with the device identifier. An entity identifier specific to an entity associated with the transaction is determined. In response to an initialization event of the electronic device, a second network signal from the electronic device is received that identifies the electronic device. In response to the second network signal, a configuration is communicated to the electronic device that is specific to the entity associated with the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20220186586
Abstract: An obstruction relief tool can include a plurality of walls that includes an inner wall, where the inner wall forms a cavity along a length of the inner wall. The obstruction relief tool can also include a chamber disposed between the plurality of walls, where the chamber has a proximal end and a distal end. The obstruction relief tool can further include an actuation device that is configured to actuate when an obstruction is within the cavity, where the actuation device, when actuated, is configured to open a first aperture in the inner wall that leads to the proximal end of the chamber, where the distal end of the chamber leads to a second aperture in the inner wall, where the first aperture is adjacent to the cavity above the obstruction, and where the second aperture in the inner wall is adjacent to the cavity below the obstruction.

  • Patent number: 11321754
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed for detection of a network signal identifying an electronic device in response to a transaction initiated by an entity. For example, the network signal can be transmitted by the electronic device in response to an initial network connection. An entity identifier identifies the entity associated with initiating a transaction based on matching identifying information contained in the network signal with transaction information from a supply chain. A configurator to configure the electronic device specific to the identified entity can be based on a feature set determined by channels through which the electronic device came to an end user. The feature set programs the electronic device to interoperate with a network device in response to the initial network connection.

  • Publication number: 20220131391
Abstract: Described herein is a battery system that allows a battery pack to operate in different modes at different times. Each of the different modes may provide its own set of functionality that affects how the battery pack operates and/or reacts to external input signals. A mode may change how the battery pack discharges power by, for example, altering whether terminals are enabled or disabled. A mode may change how the battery pack's hardware operates by, for example, disabling or enabling portions of the battery pack's hardware. A mode may change what battery-related services are provided by the battery pack and available to an end user by, for example, enabling or disabling the sending of battery status information from the battery pack.

  • Publication number: 20220129445
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to tracking record writes for keyspaces across a set of database nodes. A first database node of a database system may receive a request to perform a database transaction that includes writing a particular record for a key included in a keyspace. The first database node may access a keyspace reference catalog that stores a plurality of indications of when keyspaces were written to by database nodes of the database system. In response to determining that a second database node has written a record for the keyspace within a particular time frame, the first database node may send a request to the second database node for information indicating whether the second database node has written a record for the key. Based on a response that is received from the second database node, the first database node may determine whether to write the particular record.

  • Publication number: 20220130512
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for generating personalized food guidance using predicted food hunger. Using the technologies described herein, instead of providing food guidance that is generalized for a group of individuals, personalized food guidance is provided that takes into account an individual's personalized responses to foods, including the predicted hunger of an individual. A nutritional service generates a hunger score that predicts a hunger level of an individual at a time (or for more than one time) after the individual has or is planning to consume food. The nutritional service uses the hunger score to generate the food guidance. Providing an individual with personalized food guidance can make choosing food easier and healthier.

  • Patent number: 11299241
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus that attaches to a hull of a boat to disrupt water flow around the hull such that a wake created behind the boat is larger, differently positioned, and/or differently shaped. The apparatus includes a base and a blade. The blade is equipped with a mount structure that attaches the base to the blade. The blade can be reversibly mountable to the base such that either face of the blade faces a desired direction. The apparatus provides tool-free adjustment between a first configuration in which the base is mounted to the blade and a second configuration in which the base and the blade are separated. In some embodiments, the apparatus is removably attached to the hull by one or more suction cups. Additionally, the apparatus can be inflatable. The invention further provides a deployable lanyard assembly and a splash deflector for use with the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20220092045
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to the distribution of database key permissions. A database system may distribute first permission information to a plurality of database nodes that identifies a distribution of key range permissions to ones of the plurality of database nodes. A given key range permission being distributed to a given database node may permit that database node to write records whose keys fall within a key range associated with the given key range permission. The database system may receive, from a first database node, a request for a first key range permission provisioned to a second database node. The database system may modify the first permission information to derive second permission information that provisions the first key range permission to the first database node instead of the second database node. The database system may distribute the second permission information to ones of the plurality of database nodes.
