    Abstract: Described is a method for producing an anticorrosion coating, wherein (1) an anticorrosion primer comprising: (A) at least one organic resin as binder, and (B) at least one synthetic layered double hydroxide comprising organic anions, is applied directly to a metallic substrate; and (2) a polymer film is formed from the anticorrosion primer applied in stage (1), wherein the at least one synthetic layered double hydroxide (B) comprises at least one organic anion of an alpha-amino acid. Also described are coated metallic substrates coated by the method of the invention. Further described is the use of the anticorrosion primer in the method of the invention for improving the corrosion resistance of metallic substrates.
